We could only afford a 7 day but I would have loved to have done the 12 day Venice. I am not sure why Greece is more popular maybe lots of people have visited Italy before. I have been to the Greek Islands many times but to cruise from Venice would be a dream.
I also priced similar intineries for our cruise with other lines and the prices were comparable to DCL. |

The Greek cruise has a higher number of ports I've never visited. And three new countries instead of two. That's why I'm going on that one. Nor do I think there is anything wrong with a sea day, as opposed to an overnight in a port.
I also don't object to the price. Booked the cheapest Cat. 11 on day 1 with an onboard dummy booking for 10% off, the old platinum castaway OBC will still apply to this reservation, and I'm splitting with a friend.

i really, really wanted to do the greece one. But our kids don't get out of school until July 22nd :-(
i saw the prices go up by the minute on opening day. I really hope if DCL is going back to the med in 2014 that the Greece itinerary will be later in Summer as again, our kids don't get out until July 21, 2014 . :-( |
