Dress attire for dinner on 4 night Disney Dream

Our group of 7 is 18 days away from our first Disney cruise. I have been put in charge of pretty much all planning aspects for this upcoming trip. These boards have been overwhelmingly helpful for me as I prepare for 4 nights on the Disney Dream.

I have seen this question asked numerous times before and have seen various answers. I dont want to break the dress code for dinner but I want to be comfortable while I am eating since I am on vacation so I just want to ask the following:

Will it be ok if my sons (5 & 7) and I dress in either a Polo or button down dress shirt with Khaki pants (boys) and dress slacks for me ok? Also black sneakers ok for the boys to wear?

The girls are not an issue as they can just wear skirts or dresses.

thanks for the help
Brian

Yes I believe that is totally acceptable. You will see people wearing everything from dressy to very casual. I think what you have planned is fine for a 4 day. Still comfortable but not to casual.

I will be cruising the 4 night Bahamas Dream in 11 days ((((Excited)))) This will be my first cruise and I had planned on getting a new dress because me and DH are having dinner at Palo, but I think I am leaning towards comfort. Nice dress pants and a nice top. That will be my dinner attire for my 4 meals. From what I have read I will be blended in well my girls, age 8 and 5 will be in dresses ( they love to dress up!)

Have. Great cruise!!

Almost anything will do for your sons but so nice to see them dressed in nice shirt and long pants.

With so many people on the ship you will see pretty much everything and its fine except in Palo and Remy where there is more of a dress code. We just got off the ship last week and when you are seated and eating no one can see what is on your feet....my husband didn't want to pack dress shoes so he wore black tennis shoes and no one could tell. Just be comfortable and have a ball - our trip was truely a DREAM come true ! Debbie

thanks you everybody...appreciate the positive feedback. I am not one for dressing up especially while on vacation but for 4 nights I can swing dress pants and a nice shirt....

Can't wait to be sailing.....

Looks like our families will be sailing at the same time! (Feb 3 departure, right?)

I had the same question... so i'm glad you asked.

Good luck in your planning, and we'll see you in a couple weeks! I'll be glad to get out of Utah... it was -5 degrees yesterday.

We are on the same Feb 3 cruise. I can't wait!!! Started packing our shorts and bathing suits already! We certainly won't be needing them here in PA!

At Palo (dinner) or Remy men must have a jacket. Ties are optional but jackets aren't. They have loaner jackets on some of the ships apparently.

Actually Palo dinner is tie or jacket. You just have to have one of them.
