Panama Canal Cruise
Any one experience a cruise like this.
What do they do w/ all the sea days. Are activities, performers, shows done on all these days at sea. There are 7 sea days. From my previous short cruises, 7 days, 4 days.... I've always enjoyed the sea days for the shows, relaxation, pool, sunning days. But wondering if 7 sea days would be a lot. Let me know your experience. Thanks Chris |

We did it in 2005. There were special entertainers brought on board including Susan Egan (Belle on Broadway), a woman who directed the PC Visitor's Center, a DULL narrator for the canal crossing itself, etc. Special menus, each night a different theme.
WE LOVE the PC and trans-Atlantic cruises. The bummer is that this year it is impossible to do both as they overlap by a few days. Poor scheduling IMHO. No such thing as too many sea days. DCL will keep you as busy as you wish to be or you can hang out at the pools and chill. |

My DH is still saying it was his best cruise ever from Jan. 2011. We loved it and never seemed to run out of things to do.

We weren't ever bored on the PC cruise two years ago. As we went through the canal the Wonder had a great buffet up on deck.

In 2008 they had a great BBQ set up on deck 9 with several big grills going. It was a wonderful day with lots of things going on. Very well thought out.

So if you need to know something else, just let me know. Last edited by BigJon; 01-13-2013 at 10:45 PM. |

My family did the 2011 Transatlantic with ten sea days. It was so awesome that we are doing it again this May! For us, the more sea days the better. The ship is your destination and there is plenty to do. I don't know if I would ever be happy on a cruise with limited sea days.

Yes, it was, but nothing as good as you'd find at your local dive Mexican restaurant. There is also a Mexican buffet at Pirate night too. If it's not your cup 'o tea at dinner time, there's always the chicken, steak and fish that appear on the menu each night, under 'lighter fare'. We have a DD that would order the chicken breast with a side of steamed broccoli almost every night (including that one), and it was delicious.
