I have to laugh. I checked the website and there is availability for the business class room 2/20 to 2/22 and 2/24 to 2/26. That almost has me covered.... it is that darn 2/23 that there is no availability!

Good to know. I'd have done the same except that I can't access the AP site myself yet because I'm using an old ticket to upgrade. I had a friend check the availability for me when I had a problem booking it over the phone, because the phone conversations went something like this: call at 10ish and get a price without any problems but wanted to talk to DH about the trip budget before booking. Called back at 11 and told two-queen business class doesn't exist, that building is kings only for the convention market. Call back again at noonish (because the 11am call took an hour, most of it hold time) and told it is unavailable/booked solid after a long delay and a conversation about how CSR doesn't have a club level. Vent to friend, who checks availability on the AP site for me and lets me know that it is still in fact available. Call back around 3:30 and finally get it booked. Disney CM roulette at its finest.

Fortunately, I'm nothing if not persistent!

We wanted to try a value for the first time this past trip over New year's. We booked a split stay- 3 days at AOA ( little mermaid) and 4 at CSR (our favorite!). We were so disappointed in AOA that we checked out early so we get over to CSR faster! It was somewhat of a beating setting up the transfer, but totally worth it! It was a great feeling to walk through the doors of CSR! We had a wonderful stay, as always!

Our DD will stay at CSR for her HS grad weekend.
If she needs more money - could we call the CSR front desk - buy her a Disney Gift Card (with a credit card) and have her pick it up at the front desk with ID (drivers license) ?
Thanks

I've not heard of this, but I suppose anything is possible!

Might be easier though if you just put your CC on file for room charges and your DD uses her room key for purchases. You can do that online and she doesn't have to have the CC in her possession.

I booked a BC room for June! I'm thinking that since drinks will be available there throughout the day there's no need for a refillable mug. And, it's even better since we don't have to walk across the resort to get the drinks. Is that good logic or am I missing something?

This is our first stay at Coronado Springs and I'm pretty stinkin' excited!

Jasmine91 can you tell me why you didn't like AOA compared to CSR? We are thinking of doing a split stay with those 2 resorts and I'm worried. Was the walk from LM rooms comparable to the walk from Cabanas?

Kind of a random post, but I just found this picture and thought I'd share. We stayed at CSR 12/1 - 12/8. This picture was taken just after we arrived on 12/1 at the shoreline near the hammocks close to Cabanas 8A & 8B.

It was actually pointed out to my sister by a maintenance CM, and we never saw another one all week. I'm guessing they made arrangements to find this guy a new home.

Have you considered getting her a prepaid CC like a Green Dot for the trip? You can pick up the cash reload cards pretty much anywhere (CVS, Kroger, etc) and that way you could add funds online if needed. There are fees, $5 initial purchase and $5 reload IIRC, but they vary by brand and you can sometimes find deals to save on the initial purchase.

Yes, it started Jan. 1. No more buffets. I guess it wasn't working out. I haven't been able to find any more info but I'm glad b/c we are not getting a dining plan this time.

Thank you Yes strange, seems like a quiet change. I had never had the buffet but was looking forward to it this May when we arrived since we are just having a resort day. Great value for ddp. Oh well, I guess it's back to the original plan of grabbing a pizza and bringing it to the pool. I don't see the chicken wings on the menu by the pool either. More strangeness!
