Poly Or Floridian for summer 2013

We always stay at the Polynesian but wanted to switch it up this year. However i hear there is still alot of construction going on at the Floridian by the pool. How is the construction going to be this summer? any less? Thank you

I'm not sure what the construction schedule will be like. Have you considered staying off of the monorail line and trying Beach Club, Boardwalk, or another Deluxe that's in a different location?

We just returned Wednesday morning from our first trip to the GF after 4 trips to the Poly in recent years. I know my family loved the theming at the Poly- myself included- but in terms of service and amenities, I feel they are day and night. There were people everywhere to help, and lots of housekeeping in the buildings all day. Turndown, many more concierge people to help, just busier and more bustling with attentiveness. It was like a real Deluxe, a feeling I had always questioned at the Poly with a nearly identical price. The DVC construction likely won't be done, but the Courtyard Pool should be done in February or March. It was supposed to be done in December. So long as you do not get placed in Big Pine Key beside the construction (our first, lagoon view room was there!) you will likely barely notice the construction beyond the first day. We loved it.
