First time for a couple of grown-ups...
My boyfriend and I are taking a quick trip to Disney (first time for both of us) next weekend and we'll only have about 2.5 days to play. We'd like to hit up most of the iconic Disney attractions but realize we'll have to cut out a lot (and probably an entire park.) I'm hoping the off-season short lines will still allow us to see and do quite a bit, though. Does the following plan sound the least bit realistic? If not, what should I cut out? Is there anything that I simply must do but haven't listed?
Friday 1/18: Epcot (2pm-11pm): Soarin' Captain EO House of the Whispering Willows Mission: Space Gran Fiesta Tour Test Track Question: The web site lists a lot of performances (Off Kilter, Ziti Sisters, etc.) Are these things happening inside theaters or out in the open? Would I need to show up early and a get a seat? Or can I just saunter over and see what I can see? Saturday 1/19: Magic Kingdom (9am-10pm) Space Mountain Big Thunder Mountain Splash Mountain (closed?) Pirates of the Caribbean Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Prince Charming's carousel Cindarella's castle Dumbo the Flying Elephant It's a Small World Mad Tea Party Haunted Mansion Magic Carpets of Aladdin Carousel of Progress Hall of Presidents Also, I'd like to catch as many of the parades and fireworks as I can. Question: How many fastpasses can I hold at once? Sunday 1/20: Animal Kingdom (9am-??) Discovery Island Trails Maharajah Jungle Trek Kilimanjaro safari Pangani Forest Exploration The Oasis Exhibits Tree of Life Festival of the Lion Question: Depending on how early we're done with Animal Kingdom, should we a.) Go to Hollywood Studios for the Tower of Terror and maybe Toy Story Mania? b.) Go back to Magic Kingdom (it's open until midnight)? c.) Save the money on the park-hopper option and head back to the hotel to watch football? Thanks in advance for your pro-tips and expert advise! |
