I'm hoping someone can help me with this. We always order water to be shipped to our room. Last year, we stayed at POR the first night then moved to BC so we just had the water sent to POR and brought it with us to BC the next day. We ordered it from Staples and apparently in Orlando, they just courier it to the hotel. If I order from Staples this year and have it sent to BC and they courier it again, will I still get charged the convention center fee or will the courier deliver it to the hotel?

This will be my first time using a pincode (awesome) and going to yc. We had dinner at yachtsmen last time when we saw pool, my husband (who wanted monorail resort) said " I could stay here!" A couple questions to teena s or anyone elsr...we ate going the middle of September and I know that's a slow time (that's why we're going then) and they could be working on sab. I only care about the deeper lazy river portion of pool but would anyone know whether that would be due for rehab then? If they do rehab it, could I reschedule my vacation or get my money back for a package or switch to swan/dolphin? I just want ti know my options when I pull trigger and pay for it tomorrow.one other thing...how much notice would I get if they were going to close that portion? This is a great thread thank you.

There is the normal winter refurb which takes place most years (although this year all I have heard about is the slide for about a week later this month). There have been some unscheduled refurbs a couple of times when there has been an unexpected repair needed, usually on the slide. I think once in May and last year in April. I wouldn't expect to see a September pool closure under normal circumstances. If the pool slide goes down, the deep lazy river part should still be open. And I think Disney is usually pretty good about working with you if something unexpected comes up and there is availability elsewhere. I think you will be fine!

[QUOTE=natebenma;47148316]In the 4 years I have been involved in this thread, I have never seen a September closing of SAB.

There's another thread on the boards talking about parking and how some folks will park at bc/yc and walk into Epcot. We have stayed at Poly in the past and managed to always find parking, although, some days we did the circles. When we stayed at Kidani we always found parking.
My question is - how is the YC parking? We will have a car and plan on driving to some attractions and coming back midday, night time, etc. From what I can tell, the YC is fairly sold out the beginning part of our stay. Will we be circling endlessly looking for a spot to park? I dread the thought. Anyone have any experience since I have zero? TIA. |

What is the difference in a deluxe room and a regular room at BC?

A deluxe room is a separate room category. There are six of these rooms. They are club level rooms but not on the fifth floor. They are oversized ... extra large. They all have two queens and a daybed. Your key gives you access of course to the fifth floor lounge and CMs.

As you'll read in that post (but just in case you miss it)...if you look down to post #9 (it's actually the view from a suite) you can see straight across to where rooms 1557-4557 are. They are all right there on that corner. If you go to the Disney site and price out room categories you can see their professional pictures of room 1557. |

Getting back into the groove!!!
Holidays are over and now I am back in full swing for vacation. I am glad to see that the board is still as great as it was the last time we were planning. It is so helpful!
We are returning to club level because it was so awesome the last time for our family of 5. We have decided that the DDP was too much eating for us last time and are going without the DDP but have made some select TS ADR at our fav restaurants. Hubby wanted to use an exchange for our timeshare and stay off-site but I just couldn't stay off- site. I scored the recent 30% discount so he is more accepting of staying at the BC again. We are on the BOG list - 6/8-6/15 but you can add CL. First time in June- a little nervous about the crowds but kids are getting older and it's harder to find time during the school year. We really love May- I hope I don't regret choosing to go in June. Can anyone tell me how things are in early June- crowds, temp? |
