Cheapest Hotel??

My friend and I are planning a trip to Disney at the beginning of March and we are currently looking for cheap hotels around Disneyworld that offer free shuttle because we are going to go to Universal one day to do the Mardi Gras Celebration. We will be at Disney 2 out of the 3 days. Can anyone help us? Thank you! Oh, and any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Howard Johnson Kissimmee - free breakfast and free shuttles to Disney and Universal. Cheap. $50-$60/night depending on your dates and stay.

Remember: You get what you pay for, the reviews are not that great.

Check Last Minute Travel . They have rates which are generally lower than what the hotels offer directly to the public. There's also some promo codes for them on travelcouponsonline that will knock a few more $ off.

This would be my suggestion, but the shuttles are not incredibly convenient. I'd suggest renting a car if you want to be at the parks early or stay super late.

I'm not sure of your budget but I would say either royal plaza (tower rooms) or Hilton both in downtown Disney! So impressed with both, great Disney feeling and walking distance to dtd. They both offer shuttle service as well...Hilton even has a character breakfast!!

don't expect offsite shuttles to get to WDW in time for park opening - you will be luck to get to the parks by 10 or 11 in the morning - also forget the night shows - most of the free shuttles will have you leave before then.

first if you miss the last shuttle - you take a taxi

secondly if the shuttle is full when it your time to get on - well you get to wait hours (if you are luck) for the next one.

now shuttle and offsite is possible - but it is not cheap

the DD hotels shuttles are every 30 minutes
Wyndham Bonnet Creek also has depended shuttles

here is dd website -
www.disneydowntownhotels.com

look for discounts here
www.travelzoo.com
www.mousesavers.com

otherwise would definitely get a rental car - also remember if you are flying - then you must provide your own transportation back and forth to the hotel.

forgot this is the only hotel that is offsite fairly reason with a schedule of the shuttle.
http://www.maingatelakesideresort.com/

here the schedule
http://www.maingatelakesideresort.co...e_schedule.pdf

now if the hotel you are dealing with refusing to send you a shuttle - well - see that as a warning.

as for a current schedule - it is way to early for March - peak season - so would hope it has longer hours.
