Remove that large hat in front of the building. I would like to see the Chinese Theater as I enter the park...

I love the GMR and I torture my famliy with it everytime we go! I agree that the line could easily be updated. What did they do with all that stuff from the lame Narnia exhibit anyway? They could easily add a Narnia scene complete with cold temps and snow!
I agree that the CM's that are in the car can make or break your experience and I hate the canned chatter in the classic scenes! If there was a way to change up how your captured CM returns similar to how you get either cowboy or gangster...just so some aspect changes a bit each time. With the clips at the end, we always play a game of who-can-identify-the-most-actors/movies, my DD15 is becoming an old film buff bcuz she wants to win!

Love Alien. Possibly the scariest movie ever. But it's old, tired and kids have zero connection to it. Change the entire section to Star Wars.
Can't be that hard, you own the franchise now.

Believe it or not GMR is DS7's favorite! He would be bummed if it changed and he doesn't even know half of the movie references in the ride. He would like it to be longer though.
We have watched GMR many times on youtube.

Maybe they can add some new stuff for the upcoming Oz movie, which looks like it's going to be awesome.

I think an addition of "Forrest Gump" (that musical score is always so touching), "Gladiator" (obviously NOT a part where someone is getting their head chopped off...lol, But I CAN picture Russel Crowe 'victoriously' standing there in the coliseum with the crowd cheering and rose petals coming down upon him) And ANY scene from Star Wars 4-6 would be AMAZING!!

Some kind of muppet studio tour or something would be fantastic! - and fit in well with their current policy of bringing attractions in line with current disney branding to boost merch sales. |

I think you are right, they will probably change this to Star Wars. Aliens is by far the scariest part of the ride, might be holding back some younger ones from going on it. Good call.

The only thing I'd do to change this ride is remove it. We think it's the most boring ride in HWS.

Hmm...It was a very nice ride to rest on! They could add some fresh hot buttered popcorn & a nice refreshing cold drink ready to hand us as we come aboard! LOL!
It hasn't been that long ago that I rode this & I have ridden it more than once. From the last time what I remember the most was that I couldn't understand a word the girl (guide)up front was speaking to us! Bless her heart she coudn't act either! I felt for her! But.. It was great when another girl took her place! Like a breath of fresh air! I like the old movies but I don't remember alot about what they showed on the ride! SO... I asked my husband if he remembered it! He said" I think we got in a buggy thing, & I saw John Wayne on a horse, James Cagney in the Gangster." I said "Is that were the girls changed places!" He said "Yes, somewhere in there." I said "Well didn't they have a scene from the Alien." He said "Well it was in one of them rides! Don't know if it was that one or not!" LOL! LOL! But it was a very nice rest! Last edited by Southern Bell; 01-30-2013 at 07:41 PM. |

My kids call it "The Lame Movie Ride." I tried to tell them that it reminded me of a wax museum and they thought that was the creepiest idea ever.

Guys, the whole point of the ride, is to showcase movies from the golden age of films. You know, timeless movies also known as the classics. One thing I absolutely would not want to see is anything current from Disney in this ride. There are plenty of commercials throughout the World. We don't need another one.
