5 year old & 15 month old - strollers in the parks?

I'm torn on what to do for stroller... I know our 5 year old will get tired and want to ride. I'm trying to decide if I should take the "big" Joovy Caboose sit n stand.... or something else??

I went when both my kids were the same age. I brought the Sit and stand and Ioved it! Especially when I needed to run to the bus or something I could have the bigger child ride. We are going again in 3 weeks and I am bringing that again for the times my older DD is tired,

I would recommend a double stroller where they both can sit or take a nap in. Next week will be our 4th trip with our kids to WDW, they are now 6 and 2 and we could have not covered so much ground in the parks without the double stroller.

We just got back a few weeks ago and took our sit n stand for our 4.5 yr old & 12 month !! It worked out great b/c their legs get so tired & this way you can also have a good eye on them knowing their in the stroller!

Our first trip to WDW I used and it was a great service.
Cheaper than WDW strollers, the strollers where dropped off at our resort before we arrived and they came and got them they day we left. We just had to leave the stroller at the front desk when we departed.
Have a great trip! ( :

I also bought a sit n stand for my 5 month old and 4 year old. I got the regular version- my 4 year old wasn't really into naps and could hop on and off as he wished! It was perfect.

We are planning to pick up a couple of cheap umbrella strollers from Walmart to use during the trip which we can leave behind when we leave.
I love my double stroller from when my boys were younger, but I can't handle the bulkiness when we are going to the parks, we want something small that doesn't get in the way too much. Our boys are really good long distance walkers so I don't know how much they'll use them anyway.
Hopefully we can find a good home for them when we leave (the strollers, not the kids! )

The first time we had both of our kids at WDW, they were 18 months and 5. We had a Joovy Caboose and by the end of the trip, I hated that thing. It was too hard to push, the front seat didn't recline enough for my toddler to nap comfortably, and it was difficult to maneuver in tight spaces and to make it stop quickly in case someone walked in front of me. If I had to use a double, I'd look for a side-by-side like the City Mini.

If that is what you have and you aren't looking to buy a new stroller, then I would definitely bring it. I've not needed a double stroller due to an almost five year difference in my kids and my DD9 stopped using a stroller at WDW when she was 4 as she thankfully had no trouble walking the parks.
If you are in the market for a new stroller, I'd definitely recommend a Baby Jogger, they fold so easily and are easy to carry, a lot more so then the sit n stand which will be bulky and not the easiest to get on and off the buses with. I have a bulky jogger which is not fun to get on and off the buses with and then I also have a city mini which I love at Disney except there isn't hardly any storage on it.
So in the end I'd say if your only option is what you have or nothing...take what you have. If renting is an option, rent a City Mini down there that way you don't have another stroller at home that you don't need on a daily basis. I personally would not go with 2 umbrella strollers. I have seen parents walking around WDW with them and they just look super uncomfy for both the kids and parents as the wheels are awful, you have to bend over to push them, they have no storage to them and more importantly no sun shade on them. I know they are cheap, but they are cheap for a reason IMHO.

My DD was 4 and DS was almost 2 on our last trip. We just took our single City Mini. She would ride occasionally, but FTMP she didn't have a problem walking. I would not take a sit n stand to WDW. It's too hard to maneuver.
