We have been in May (the week before Memorial Day), Mid June, Late Sept, Early October, Thanksgiving weekend and the following week, The week before Christmas, and Christmas Week. We don't really get a lot of choice of when to go because of the way DH job works (he's a contractor, we can only go when he's in between contracts for the most part, and we usually only can plan with a couple weeks notice). We've been during bad weather (a tropical storm during the June trip...lots and lots of heavy rain), cold (the Christmas week we went was in the high 30s/low 40s in Florida, it was actually warmer in CT that week!), heat, love bugs, etc. We never found the weather unbearable regardless. As far as crowds go, even during Thanksgiving week and Christmas week, we didn't think the crowds were unbearable. We tour from park open to park close, we eat counter service, use fast pass and we have alwasy been able to see as many attractions and shows as we have wanted. On our trips (usually 7-10 days) we visit MK multiple times and Epcot for at least 1 1/2 days, the other parks usually one day each. Sometimes we do US, sometimes not. We always get to ride the rides we like multiple times without an issue, and I can never understand people saying that the park was too crowded to ride what they wanted because even on days when MK closed, we were able to ride everything without huge ridiculous wait times, but we don't do afternoon naps, TS meals, BBB, pool days or many of the other things that suck large amounts of time. We ride rides, see shows and people watch and have plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. So for us, there is no 'bad time' to go As to the 'best' time: I love going in late Nov/December because I adore all the holiday decorations, but our favorite time is to go during Sept/October because MNSSHP is our favorite thing ever

Absolute best was arriving the Monday after thanksgiving. Everyone was leaving and it was already decorated for Christmas. We were able to check into the Poly at 9am, and the weather was in the upper 70s during the day, and mid 60s at night. Walked right on to almost every ride.

The worst time for us was July 4th week. It was hot and extremely crowded with tons of 'tour groups' that like to walk in packs. The best time was late Oct. It was warm but not hot and the parks weren't very crowded.

I've been in February, April, and May. I loved it at all those times, but May was probably my favorite.

For all of you who like October - can you still swim at this time? We are going this year the 2nd or 3rd week in October.
