I've heard from 5 of our reporters already today, so I think I'd better get to posting.


Our First Update of the Day was sent to us by quietgirl.


She said, "For dinner Sunday night, we headed to Downtown Disney. DGF wanted Pollo Campero again, but I had my heart set on Wolfgang Puck Express. We compromised and she got hers to go and brought it over to WPE."


"Unfortunately DGF forgot her phone, and was too hungry to wait on me to take pics, so she started on hers while I was in line. She got the same citrus chicken she got Thursday, and loved it again! She did get a tres leches for dessert- one bite, and she threw it away!"

Next in this morning was an update from Joyce (Jersette).



She said, "It was a beautiful day yesterday and we wandered World Showcase.
First, I had a Pimm's Cup from the Rose & Crown Pub. I love this drink...so refreshing and, well, British.
(And healthy...look at the fruit!)"

"We also shared fish and chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. It went well with my drink."

"Next was France, where we were first in line when the kiosk opened...almost as important as being the family that opens the park, right? I had a glass of Vouvray and Katy had her precious Grey Goose slushie.
I'm glad it lived up to her memories of the one she had last year!!"










"When the kids were off meeting characters, I relaxed with a Lamb Wrap from Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. The meat was good, but there wasn't enough and the pita was too much. But the couscous salad? I could have made a meal of it!!! Yumyumyum!"

"We now have a seagull story, too! We stopped at La Cantina de San Angel because Katy wanted nachos (sorry, no pic).
The birds were pretty, uh, friendly. We were almost finished, when a huge seagull swooped down and grabbed a chip from the plate. Not once, but twice! Lunch and a show!"






Then for dinner last night, Joyce, Katy, & David went to Magic Kingdom's...

Joyce said, "I enjoyed the couscous salad just as much as the one I'd had earlier in the day!"






Joyce's 2nd Plate: Chicken nuggets, Rice noodles with veggies, Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Turkey, and Pork Marsala.



Joyce said, "No dessert here. This was my least favorite meal. Meat was dry, some of the hot food was cold, and it all (except for the couscous, ) was blah. The atmosphere seemed chaotic and, except for Eeyore, the characters rushed through the table visit. I was disappointed because last year, this was one of my favorites. Note to self: do lunch again."

Robin said, "We started our day with sugar from Starring Rolls. Cinnamon roll, chocolate eclair, and a blueberry muffin. All yummy as usual!"

"Lunch was Mama Melrose with Fantasmic! Package. I started with the tossed salad, which was pretty good, but I'm a salad snob. So maybe it was me?"

"Tim and Alex had the antipasti, which was not well received. It was bland and really lacking. Tim isn't picky and was very hungry, so I was surprised he didn't eat it."

Amanda said, "Unfortunately we were too full to eat much of this."

Robin said, "Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace was dinner again tonight. We usually eat here twice, saving our TS credits for a Signature restaurant. I had the salmon with roasted potatoes, and baby greens. Very mild and cooked perfectly."

"Tim tried the meatloaf sandwich and thought it was very good. It's a large sandwich, easily shareable."

Any special setting you use on your P&S? I have an Olympus and sometimes I love the pics and other times.......well we'll just say I get frustrated lol!

Nope, I pretty much use the automatic setting on my camera. The main things I adjust on my P&S are the flash and the zoom - when the lighting isn't great, I like to use the flash. However, if I take the picture up close with the flash on, the picture comes out too bright. If I hold the camera further away and zoom in a lot, the picture is dark and blurry. It sometimes takes one or two tries to get a decent shot, but it's worth it.

With the iPhone, however, my procedure is always the same: take a high-definition picture without flash, and then Instagram it.

Let's see, we still have Rachel's (rachel09985) last update of her trip, which she sent to us last night.

She spent her last day at Epcot, where she had lunch at...


Le Cellier

Rachel said, "Only two pics from Le Cellier but both delicious! I had an awesome lunch there."


Note from jabead: Since most of my DIS time has been spent here on the live thread lately, I've fallen behind on the Disney news. So I asked Rachel if Le Cellier lunch was now changed to a 2 credit meal?


Her reply, "Nope!! It changes the 16th. They said they think the new lunch menu will be pretty close to the dinner menu."


Note from jabead: This is not good news to me, since I really enjoy the Le Cellier burger, which was exclusive to their lunch menu previously. So I suspect that when the new menu comes out on the 16th, it will be bye, bye burger!

But anyway, to all of our live reporters going to the World after the 16th, I will be "upping" the ante on Le Cellier lunch. Any update from Le Cellier lunch (which includes at least one entree pic) from the 16th on will be awarded 5 January game points. Also the first reporter to send us a pic of the new Lunch menu will receive 5 Bonus points.

Rachel said, "I didn't love the macaroni from Chefs de France. It wasn't bad but it was sooo heavy and rich that I couldn't eat half of it. I did love the creme brulee and lobster bisque though. Up there with the best I have ever had!"
