Best filet mignon, new york strip, wine and pina colada from these 3 steakhouses poll - The DIS Discussion Forums

Since my last poll did not include Shulas and many people were mentioning Shulas here is a new updated poll to also take into account white wine and pina coladas. We are not on the dining plan. We also want to eat in or right near Epcot as after dinner, we will be going back to Epcot for the evening. Also, do Shula's steak entrees come with a side of potatoes (at no extra charge)?

We've never eaten at Shula's, but between Le Cellier and Yachtsman, Yachtsman is by far the best for filet, IMO.

Our favorite Filet is at Le Cellier!! The BEST in our opinion!!

Best strip steak I have ever had anywhere (on or off property) was at Be Our Guest. It was absolutely amazing. My only regret is that we only ate there for one meal. I wish we would have eaten there for one if the meals that we were on the deluxe dining plan.

I don't drink, so I can't comment on that part of it.

Well, if you can get your strip steak fix at BOG, perhaps you would be able to consider a signature restaurant that doesn't serve that item instead of just limiting yourself to Yachtsman, LC and Shulas. All of the signatures should feature a great filet...Jiko and Citricos come to mind as locations that are very highly rated in comparison to Yachtsman, for example. I think a window seat at AP can be quite romantic. Love the food, too.

California Grill is by far the best steak on property. Plus, you can time your reservations so you can watch the wishes firework show from the top of the contemporary

Shulas comes with a steak. Everything else is extra. The sides are big enough to share but the times we have gone everyone wanted something differant. VERY expensive. IMO food and service has gone way downhill from years ago and I will never go back after the last time a few years ago. Yachtsmen is expensive too but at least you get a side with your steak! I always get the filet and DH gets the sirloin. Last time was Nov. 2011. We had an amazing time and Rico is the best server! Lecellier is just too crowded for me. You can barely squeeze between tables. Food is good although not as good as YSh, but I don't like the seating. Can't help with wine or pina coladas but the drinks we order are a good pour at both places. Hope this helps!

Wow that really makes me think then unless Shulas is significantly significantly better than the other two; it would not be worth the price. Thank you so much for that information.

You might have already checked. But allearsnet.com has menus and prices. Shulas is almost $40 a steak. Even when I enjoyed our meals it was still way too much $$.
oops. I meant to write almost $50 a steak!!!
