1/6/13 - Already out of the running for Wife/Mother of the Year
Poor DH. I don't know why he puts up with me.
Conversation: Me: What did you do to your hand? It looks like you have a little blood blister. DH: That's a birthmark. I've had it since.......um......BIRTH! Me: No way! I've never noticed it before. OMG! How can you have a birthmark in such a noticeable spot and I've never noticed? DH: I think you've seen it before. I remember talking about it. Me: Hmmm......I'm not sure which is worse; not knowing that you have a birthmark at all or talking about it in the past and not remembering the conversation or the birthmark. DH: Don't worry about it. It just gives me something to hold over your head.  Me: It bugs me. I can't believe I didn't know about it. We've been married for 24 years.......25 this May. This is something I should know about you. DH: Um.....Honey, we've actually been married for 23 years, 24 this May. Me:   Damn! There goes my Wife of the Year award. I wonder if I am still in the running for Mother of the Year?Both kids simultaneously: NOOOOOOOO!

I feel your pain. DH has a tattoo on his shoulder, I cannot every remember which shoulder and I just know I am going to be called on to identify his body and I will get it wrong!
