Question Children under 3 on Disney Dream

My two kids will be almost 5 and 2 1/2 years old by the time my family got on 2/24 dReam cruise. I am interested in having dinner at PALO.

Are the kids clubs (3 -12 yrs old) very strict on age ? Ideally i wish to send both kids there, you know no charge

if you have other great ideas let me know tks!!

Is the 2 1/2 year old fully independent when it comes to the toilet? If not, no club. If yes, you will not know until you board if the ship has a lot of kids, which will affect whether they let an under-three in at all. The manager will also need to observe your child's interactions with other kids in the club to determine maturity level.

As Meghatron indicated, you won't know until you are already onboard whether they will make an exception for a 2 1/2 year old who is fully potty trained. Your best bet is to go ahead and book the nursery time you might need; it can be canceled if your child is moved up to the Club.

As a reminder...the child under 3 is already paying limited fare to cruise. Children old enough for the kids clubs pay a higher fare.

Enjoy your cruise!

As above, you only pay 1/2 of the "cruise fare" portion of the ticket for a child under 3. If you are already paying the $40 upcharge for Palo, is $12 more for 2 hours of peace and quiet with the child in the nursery such a big deal? You'd pay a couple hundred more if the kid was already 3 and he still wouldn't be allowed into the Oceaneer's Club unless fully toilet trained.
