Tony's for Lunch

Who has been to Tony's Town Square for lunch? We haven't been before and are gonna do lunch there next Sunday. I know it gets mixed reviews but I'm looking for some positives. What's good there?

We've been to lunch at Tony's and we really enjoyed it. I know it gets mixed reviews, but if you are okay with Olive Garden quality food, you should be fine with it. We had 7 of us there and everyone got different things, and everyone was happy with their food.

We've been to Tony's multiple times for lunch and I'll try to stay positive! It's fine - conveniently located and festive with the theme. I prefer Liberty Tree and the Plaza, but we did include a Tony's ADR for lunch last October. I'd recommend sticking to the basics. I love eggplant parm and our oldest son loves chicken parm, but those are not the best at Tony's. In our family, those who order basic spaghetti are happiest! Good tomato and mozzarella salad, too!

Our Ratings of Tony's Town Square: (rev 9/20/2012)
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: D
. . . food quantity per serving: C
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: A
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: B
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: Not something to write home about. Meat dishes are
average and Italian entrées are akin to CHEF-BOY-AR-DEE; well,
using CHEF-BOY-AR-DEE could be considered an insult to that
famous Cleveland, Ohio chef. The sauce may be tomato sauce,
but it is definitely not a marinara. The appetizers are average.
In a pinch, Tony's will do, but there are far better choices. On
the plus side, the desserts are simple, but pretty good. Hard
to justify going the first time, let alone going back.

I really like Tony's and will be back in May. I honestly say if you havent tried it go for it, because no one else has your taste buds and only you will truly know if you like it!

I got the Chicken Parm the last time I went and it was so good, but I also sub the sauce bc marinara makes me sick. I usually get alfredo. I also really like the antipasto platter and the pistachio creme brulee, so yummy. My DH got the meatball sub and did not care for it due to the amount of cheese, he is lactose intolerant but can have a little cheese. (Man never learns to say light cheese lol)

He will try something else this time, and I will make sure he says light cheese.
