Which is better in January? A 10 am swim and Feed with the Rays or a mid afternoon one? I have scheduled both for our Jan 18th cruise but now need to decide. I thought maybe the water would be warmer in the afternoon but it would also give us less time to get in for dinner with an early dine time. I also thought the Rays would be more active and hungry in the AM. Any advice on which to choose?

When we went in Nov., I tried for an 11 am time and it was full, so we went at 10. After we did it, I wished we would have gone at 9! The 9:00 group was smaller, and it was already plenty warm. We would have had an extra hour to do the rest of our activities that day (we did the stingray/snorkel/bike/float excursion).

I'd definitely do the morning.

I just got back from CC two days ago. The weather was absolutely perfect. The water was cool but comfortable and the depth of the water at Sting Ray bay is very shallow. I would suggest that you do the earliest tour that is possible. The visibility is reduced significantly once people have been walking around in the sand. I went snorkeling first thing and the vis was fantastic!
