Military Rate
If they are retired military they can make a reservation of their own, otherwise no just having military service does notcount.

http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.g...t=fy13military The Marines who are no longer active do not qualify for this promotion. I know there are months when Shades of Green has promotions for veterans. You could look at their website and/or call for into. http://www.shadesofgreen.org/ Good luck. |

You could try combining a few rooms since you're all family. Maybe get a 2 bedroom somewhere - or try and grab 3 family suites at AoA and fit more people into 1 room (not sure of your actual numbers) instead of getting 5 standard rooms. |

I just booked a trip for March and found Shades of Green's rate to be much cheaper than Disney's military rate (for a moderate resort). With the spacious rooms akin to the Disney Deluxe resorts and the proximity to the monorail @ the Polynesian, we think SoG is quite a deal.

It's 40% off deluxe 35% off moderate 30% off value If I recall correctly. Shades of Green is of course another option the OP would have. It's just going to depend on what they're looking for most. |

There is a lot of information on this thread! We are planning a trip to Disney sometime for the 2013 Christmas season. DD's husband will be active duty Air Force so not sure he will be able to come. (He reports for active duty in February) Can DD still use the military discount to book rooms at Disney and/or Shades of Green? Or does her husband have to come in order to get a military discount?
