Which dining changes do you wish they would reverse?

Which WDW restaurant changes do you wish they would reverse?

Mine would be:
-Bring back Tony's Town Square breakfast! I never got to go, but I heard it was good and I think they need a sit down breakfast on Main Street.

-Bring back LTT character meal-I LOVED this!! It was my favorite character meal & the colonial costumes were so cute. It made no sense to me that they got rid of this.

-Bring back Bonfamiles restaurant at POFQ

-Bring back the beef hot dogs to Casey's. & also bring back the regular buns

-Bring back the old dinner menu at Whispering Canyons Cafe. The new skillet looks gross (especially dessert) & I liked the ala carte options.

-Bring back the old DDP that included a tip.

Which changes would you reverse?

Definitely to bring back good hamburger buns and hot dog rolls. Those things they have now are horrible - they fall apart very easily. My husband used to love Disney World hot dogs and now refuses to touch the things with those buns on them.

If they included tips with the DDP I would be a lot more likely to want to book it. Not for the savings necessarily but more because of the convenience. I know people claim it affects service but I have never found that to be true when I have used the TIW card where the tip is automatically applied.

At the Columbia House they used to have a soup and sandwich option. Now you have to order both separately. I would like to see that return.

I would like to see the Character Ice Cream social again at the revolving restaurant in The Land. It was nice to be able to do a Character experience without paying for a buffet meal. And the kids loved it.


Now....if I were to add something NEW

I would like to see a donut stand at DTD similar to the ones at the waterparks (so I could get them without having to pay an admission to go into the waterparks).

I would like to see diet sprite at all of the soda machines (or caffeine free diet coke....just some diet option without caffeine).

I would like to see the Dole Whip Float option at the Poly (you can get the Dole Whip there but not the 'float' version).

I agree with breakfast at Tony's. We did this many years ago when the kids were young, and it was good. I also agree about the buns for the burgers and hot dogs and I preferred the beef hot dogs at Casey's. That was one of my "stops" but not any longer.
As for a new breakfast idea, how about BOG table serve breakfast? Only those with ressies could enter the park before opening. Everyone is trying to get into this new restaurant so it would give more options.
Just an idea, but I agree that it would be nice to have options other than character meals for breakfast at MK.

Personally, I would like them to do away with adr's for the 1 credit restaurants. I hate having to decide where and when I want to eat months in advance.

I remember my parents making reservations the same day via a video phone in Epcot. They didn't have to decide 6 months prior. It was easier!

I could see keeping them for the signatures, though. To me, that is a more planned event.

We only book DDP for the convenience of not having to worry about budget while we are on vacation. I would gladly pay the 18-20% in advance to not have to bother with it on vacation.

Wow-I've never heard of the ice cream social-what was it like??

I wish for Diet Sprite or other diet soda options on every Disney trip! The pomegranate lemonade is light in sugar, but they don't carry it everywhere.

I remember that video phone-we used it every trip!! Stuff still booked up quickly, but you got a fair shot every day to book your favorite place, if you arrived at the park early.

I agree that I would REALLY appreciate the buns going back to a standard white bun. I no longer get hot dogs or hamburgers at WDW. a lot of chicken tenders, and sorry Disney, food from Publix. I would spend way more money there if they changed the buns back.

I also loved the scalloped potatoes at 'Ohana. I like the noodles too, but I for sure preferred the potatoes.

I hate ADR's at 180 days. I would love to bring back the same day ADR's or even 30 days.

I have eaten some bad meals at Tony's but breakfast was never one of them. I loved that place for breakfast.

I miss the old restaurant/bar that used to be at CBR. They made the best Pina Coladas there. Actually all the drinks were pretty good and the food wasn't bad either.

I have not used DDP since the removal of tips. Without that feature, it doesn't appeal to me at all. Also don't like the removal of appetizer from the DDP. They could at least give a choice of app or desert.

When did they change the buns? I was there 18 months ago, and I dont remember anything bad about them. Was this change recent?

I just remembered a big one-I MISS the hotel specific resort mugs. I used to love to collect them. I stopped buying them now because I just end up with a stack of the same mugs at home that don't hold much liquid....

I would like the QSDP to have 2 snacks per person per day like it used to. I would be more than happy to give up the refillable cup for the extra snack credits.
