Thank you all for your wonderful contributions, I love this thread! And Barb for keeping up with all of it and making it so fun! Plus, your holiday food looked awesome!

There isn't a full dining report this time, since I didn't want to annoy my friends by taking pics of absolutely everything. For example, in an upcoming lunch review, I only took pics of my lunch (but it's a lunch that I'm excited to share!)

YIKES! While I've never had a seagull take anything from me, I did have one give me something...something nasty. About 10 years ago, oldest DD and I were walking side-by-side at Disney's California Adventure Park when a seagull decided to make a deposit on our heads. And yes I said heads, because we were both recipients, so either there were two birds acting in tandem or that was one very talented seagull.

Okay, moving on quickly from thoughts of seagull excrement to something nice...very nice!

DDW said, "The bread was served with salted butter, just like at the Signature restaurants."







House-made Potato-Cheese Gnocchi with toasted walnuts, julienne pears, and truffle butter


DDW said, "This was great! The fluffy gnocchi paired excellently with the sweet pears and earthy sauce."






Pot-braised Mussels with tomato-fennel broth with toasted foccacia (not pictured)


DDW said, "This dish normally includes clams as well, but my friend asked for just mussels. It also got good feedback."






Wild Alaskan Cod with Portuguese Stew


"This was my entree and it was a very hearty and satisfying dish."







Pan-seared Chicken with sweet potato, walnut butter, dried cherries, haricot verts, and truffle brown butter vinaigrette


"My friend said the truffle brown butter vinaigrette was phenomenal!"






Pasta Special - Cavatelli with Shrimp, Pine Nuts, Asparagus, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Pesto Sauce, and a Parmesan cheese from Argentina


"This also looked delicious."



DonaldDoleWhip said, "It's super easy to get last-minute ADRs here and overall, I'm very glad that we ended up eating at Captain's Grille. It was a quiet and relaxing meal, and the food reminded me of Signature restaurants."

DDW said, "Two of us shared this, and needless to say, it was delicious."




"We topped off our night with a stop at the Beach Club Marketplace before heading back to Epcot. I had been wanting to try the popular Oreo Bon Bons, so we shared a pack of them."

DDW said, "They were good, but very rich. I'm glad I only ate two of them!"

Lunch was at Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios. David wasn't hungry, but DD and I split a Black Forest ham sandwich, chips, and a Red Velvet cupcake. Plenty for both of us and quite yummy. I see now why everyone raves about the cupcake! It's huge, but very light and full of flavor.

For dinner, we walked in the drizzle from our room at French Quarter to Riverside Mill food court. Katy and I had the build your own pasta. We both had proscuitto, garlic, and broccoli. I added mushrooms, DD added chicken. She had alfredo sauce, which was much nicer than my overly oily pesto. David had chicken nuggets. They both had Mickey head rice krispy treats for dessert, I had a 'eh' serving of cherry cobbler. Really like the variety at Riverside, I just didn't make the best choices.

Tomorrow will be fun... '50s Prime Time and 'Ohana! (AND a charged phone!)

No problem, Joyce. Hope you have a great time today at '50s PTC and 'Ohana and some delicious food!

We are traveling to visit my daughter who is doing the Disney College Program next month and would love to send reviews in. I tried my hand at a dining review for our trip in July but I never finished. These daily reviews will be easier for me to handle.

My dates are 2/9-2/17.

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only lucky one. I had just walked into AK and a bird that just had Thanksgiving Dinner relieved himself on my head.! What a way to end a vacation!

Wow! Raglan may be known for its bread pudding, but that crumble sounds awesome! RR is one of my mom's favorites, so returning there sometime is definitely on our list.
