hotels near Orlando Airport

Are there any other good, nice hotels close to the airport with shuttle service to/from the airport? Thinking of taking another posters advice and getting in at night especially if we can save on airfare rather than getting up at 4am to catch a super early flight, sleeping near or at the Orlando airport hotel and then taking ME early the next morning. But Hyatt is listed as $200 without tax for our arrival date right now.....

we've stayed at the sheraton suites - actually going to be there this coming friday - they have transport to and from the airport - sometimes we take a cab there because we don't want to wait - but we always take the shuttle back to ME at the airport - it's a nice place - either king or 2 dbl in the br - and a pull out in the lr - it's also a starwood -

i'm planning to do the same and debating the hyatt or marriott springhill suites

springhill suites includes a breakfast and is a new hotel and can be had for $109

hyatt doesnt include breakfast and >$200 currently

kicker is taking shuttle back and forth from the marriott.... with 2 yr old in tow not sure how well that will go

I'd choose the Hyatt in the airport. I wouldn't put my 2year old in a shuttle can with no car seat. Also, the hotel shuttles usually sort of make continuous loops to/from the airport, so I always feel compelled to leave early "just in case," burning up my benefit of staying closer. We've never used the Hyatt (just never needed it), but stayed at an airport Sheraton on our honeymoon to catch a 5:30 am flight and it was GREAT to just get up and walk downstairs to the gate!!!

I'm a huge fan of Embassy Suites hotels since my daughter won't fall asleep if she can see me and DH -- ES is real suites plus a full breakfast. I've stayed at the Orlando airport one several times, and I'd recommend it. We actually just got back from spending six nights there -- we paid around $125 a night for New Years week.

They say the recipe for Sprite is lemon and lime, but I tried to make it at home....There's more to it than that!

There is a Renaissance next to the airport if you're looking to use certificates.

Country Inn and Suites has a shuttle to the airport and they are an 8 minute ride from the airport.

We stayed right in the airport a few years ago and boy was I glad. Just as we got to the airport the night before our flight, we had a terrible thunderstorm, the rain lasted all night. We enjoyed watching the planes and walking around the airport. The next morning, we took our luggage down to checkin, back to the hotel for breakfast and checkout and then down to security. It was soooo easy and relaxing.

Like others have stated, stay at the airport hotel.

I stayed there new years eve. Nice place, good breakfast. Only complaint was the beds weren't the most comfortable I've ever slept in.

For convenience - like others have said - the Hyatt doesn't require a shuttle which may be easiest with a 2 year old.

I have stayed at both Springhill Suites and Comfort Suites - both have a good shuttle service and a good breakfast and I would stay at either again certainly - the Springhill Suites had a bit more modern vibe to it but the price is also more - both were comfortable and clean.

If your staying the upcoming weekend, the Springhill usually has special last minute weekend E-rates which are discounted about $20-25 off their normal rates. The downside is you can only book them 7 days or less before your stay, but if you have another reservation as a backup it's worth checking if they are available once your stay weekend comes around.
