The water in the dining rooms, at the soda fountain and in your bathroom tap on the ship are all the same.

We think it tastes great.

Your other option is to pack some of the liquor/gatorade/water in your suitcase, and put some of your clothes in your carryon. Then swap it out when you get to the Hyatt.
You can't buy at the Duty Free shop until you have passed security in the international terminal.

You can even pay $25 for the DCL luggage service (up to 6 bags at that rate) and take yourself in a rental car.

You'll spend enough on a taxi to make that run not worth while. Where are yo cruising? Can you buy your goodies in port?
I was under the impression if you stayed at the Hyatt MCO they would transfer you and your bags to the ship and give you your key to the world card all done the morning of the cruise. Has this changed?

Yes, it has. You can still take DCL transfers to the airport but they have ceased doing the check-in prior to arrival. Everyone has to check in at the port now.

Yes. About 2-3 weeks ago. You still can have your bags transfered from Hyatt to DCL and checkin for the DCL transfer at MCO. But your actual checkin for the cruise is now done at the port.

Wow, That really stinks. On our last cruise this past August it was so convenient to check in at the airport. What is the new check in policy at the port then? Are there long lines to check in? Any idea why they stopped checking in the passengers at MCO?

You still can enter the terminal when your bus gets there, regardless of your PAT. But, your boarding number is now tied to your PAT.

It's my understanding, that the checkin for the cruise at MCO was being tested. Apparently it hasn't been done that long (maybe about a year).

It was being done in 2010 on the trans-Atlantic. I can't tie it any farther back than that as a "for sure." They briefly tried check in at the resorts as well (separate from land/sea packages) but that lasted only a few months.
Definitely no more check in at MCO--that's a big negative in my mind when considering what form of transportation to use.

You do still have the luggage service if you stay at the Hyatt MCO and use DCL transfers OR you can purchase luggage service if not using DCL transfers.

It didn't meet Disney's expectations. However, you'd think if it didn't meet expectations then they would make it a better deal somehow. Even if you have a noon PAT, since you're on a Disney bus they'll let you in early, which I guess is sort of a perk. Still need to wait in line though.
