Thanks for the responses about the buses. I think we return to the hotel and then hop the bus to the expo. Hope we have enough time to make it to the kid races.

If it's the Mickey Mile, note that the start time is 1.5 hours after the start of the other kids races.

Yes!! Please!
Bag check I've never done. I know for W&D people changed out of their running clothes because they hung around EPCOT for another couple of hours but personally I have what I call my "personal bag check" aka my sister who is meeting me near the finish. On me I'll have my phone, camera and room key but I'll have her bring a jacket if it's chilly and my flip flops so I can take my sneakers off. I LOVE being able to take my sneakers off. I can already hear myself going "aaahhh" as I slide them off and wait to see if I still have all my toenails...

Holy Cow this thread is moving fast! I would love a tattoo but I don't think we are going to make it. I promised the kids we would go to AK but if we have time we will come by. Thanks for the offer; where did you get them by the way? I will look for all you lime green folks and wish shirts!

Hi all! 2 random questions
1) After the half, is there a place to get our medals engraved? I got them done for ToT and W&D, but both of those had in park parties afterwards. Do they have them in the parking lot somewhere or not do them? 2) Question about PT...I have gone 2 times now for my knee (no one can decide if its ITBS or runners knee or both). Anyways, the first time was last Thursday. The physical therapist showed me a bunch of stretches to do and how to use a foam roller and told me to do them at home. Great. So I've been doing them everyday. I went back yesterday and they just had me do the same thing again. Nothing new. Is that normal? I feel like I paid $25 for what I had been doing at home!

It should be easy to distinguish the two. ITBS hurts directly on the exterior side of the knee. Runner's Knee is like under the knee cap. I have had both in the past. If you have ITBS, be very careful at WDW. The roads are highly canted in many places. Always look for where the road is the flattest and try and stay on that line. |

PT is great for some injuries--they helped me when I had my herniated cervical disk (diagnosed it before my sports med guy)--but for others, I think--and my doctor thinks--it's okay to go it alone. Maura |

Getting nervous!
Long time lurker, first time poster!
I can not thank everyone on this thread enough! You have all answered so many questions for a first time half marathoner! This will be my husband and my first half marathon. What a better place to do it at than Disney!! We are even more excited about taking a Disney trip without our 3 boys!!! Haven't done Disney without them since they started arriving! Best of luck to everyone and have a magical run!!! Jen
