Some of the specialty drinks are really good (Paris 75) some really bad (the one with the tea bag - forget the name) but it was fun to try them.

We really enjoy Meridian for evenings when you are departing a port. You can sit there and watch the island recede into the distance and the sun go down.

We'll be back on board in one month.
What is the passport?

Skyline is it. Our bartender was Julian (they rotate). Nowak is awesome too.

The passport is a way of prepaying for 7 drinks (it's available only on the Fantasy) and seems to work out that you get one drink free. They will stamp it with the countries you "visit." The full cost for it in September was about $76. I think it includes a gratuity but I like to leave a bit extra for the bartender.

I could not believe it--an Irish pub without Guinness on tap??? And I was looking forward to a good pint in the evenings...

The Tube was by far, the busiest and best bar on our cruise 12/1-12/8/12. This is where the majority of adult-only entertainment took place. The Ent, Host Trevor was a highlight of the cruise for us. Most if the other bars tended to be quite empty and quiet.

I could have sworn they had Guinness on tap. They had either Harp or Bass (definitely one or the other) and Strongbow cider on tap in Oct. I was so excited for Strongbow as I usually only get that on tap at Rose and Crown.

Now, let's get to the important question: I have no doubt I'll be spending my evenings in the adult areas of the ship. What can I say? I love the nightlife. I've got to... well, I'd say boogie, but my boogie days are probably behind me...

That said... what's your favorite adult venue and why?

Happy cruising!

Okay, first things first- I tell everyone I know that if you want to take a cruise bothered by as FEW children as possible, take a Disney Cruise!!! Of course,no one believes me,but it's true. DH & I have been on 5 Disney cruises, but just once with our son, when he was 11 ( now 22). The rest of the cruises have been just the two of us. Disney invented the adult only areas, which other cruise lines try to copy, but no one does it like Disney. I liked hanging out in the "adult kiddie pool",I think on Deck 12,which,I think, technically, children might be allowed in,but none are interested in it.Then there are the adult only restaurants and beach. Disney is best for adult only cruising without paying out the big bucks like Crystal cruises, etc. You will be pleasantly surprised.
The coffee cafe' is a nice quiet spot; the whole Tube area is great, but Meridian & Skyline are wonderful. You will have a wonderful time

I think it was $59 plus tip. I tipped extra when I bought the passport, but then each time I got a drink I felt awkward not leaving a tip, so I ended up leaving even MORE of a tip. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't leave extra when I paid for the passport, just leave a little something when I did get the drinks.

This may be a dumb question but is the passport good for the entire cruise?

O'Gills was great, and loved O'Gills draft! LaPiazza was a great Piano Bar and watched Andy Johnson most nights, he was simply awesome! Did Mixology in Skyline, great time and well worth the $15
