Deluxe pass blackout dates

I'm not sure where I would look for this but here's my question.

If we bought deluxe passes, but wanted to go in on a blackout date, do you basically just have to buy a day pass to DL or do you get some kind of discounted pass where you have to pay something but not full price?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help.

There are blockout tickets you can buy the day of your visit. They are $70. Have fun!

Awesome! Are they parkhopper or one park tix? I see a one park is $81 so slight discount.

Also be sure to bring your AP, because you need it to buy the blockout ticket.

Hmmm...I see that in another thread you don't have your AP yet? There is a loophole that you can take advantage of if so. I would buy parkhoppers and upgrade on the day that would be normally blocked to you. If you do that, they will basically give you a blockout ticket for free.

No, we had let our PPs expire and are now debating on buying DP or PP for our next trip.

I would love to do what you are saying but we would have six days of DL before our first blackout date, so it wouldn't work as there are no longer six day passes. Kind of a Catch 22, if I am understanding the way it all works.

Thanks for your help. I still was trying to find my answer even after I posted here.

A deluxe AP is $479 (parking available for an extra $120-130) and a premium AP is $649 (with parking). So you will want to take that into account too.

Depending on how many block-out days there will be when you get there, it might be a good idea to get the premium AP (only $170 more than deluxe; two days of $70+ for the block-out ticket [unless they've increased it] plus $15/day for parking will be the same amount)

Question: if I get an AP with parking, is that parking in ANY parking area or just Mickey & Friends/Toy Story? For example, if I stay at a DL hotel, would I get free parking there?

No. You don't get free parking at the hotels, just the general parking lots.
