When should I add my mom to my reservation?
I was planning on sailing with just me and my two kids...now my mom wants to come on the trip and she plans on paying for her portion with her income tax refund. I dont want to add her on without the money in hand to pay for it. I know she's good for the money but I like to look at my decreasing balance without having hers added on making it look really expensive again...I dunno I'm weird
 .... My question is...when I booked the price was $628 per person ..I know as the trip gets closer the prices will rise so is the price LOCKED in ? Or when i add her will they add the cost to however high the price is at that specific time ? I went to the website and with the cost to add her plus the transfers it was a little under $600 . Im worried that if I add her in say like May ...they will charge a much higher price...so should i just add her now or is my price locked in and it would still be a little under $600 even if i add her really late ? |

You get the current rate at that time. So earlier is cheaper. Plus u may also run the risk of running out of room at your muster station, even if your room can hold 4 people. Each section of the ship has to have enough room in each lifeboat in case of emergency so occasionally if you add too late they may not be able to accommodate another person.

You should add her on as soon as you know she is going to come.
The added person(s) pay the rate at the time they are added - not at the time the reservation was booked - so you could possibly save some by adding her earlier. And if the muster station is full they will not allow you to add anyone else to your stateroom.

You also don't have to pay for all her fare immediately.

I would also add her on NOW! As previous posters have written, the price will most likely increase with time. And there is no guarantee that there will be room for a fourth person; if/when the muster station reaches its capacity.
