Memories Vow Renewal for 35th anniversary
This past Saturday my DH and I celebrated our 35th anniversary with a Memories vow renewal at Conch Key. I had been posting a few months back when I was in the planning stages so I thought I would share a few details about our weekend.
It was just my DH and myself and we arrived in WDW on Friday, Oct 21st. The vow renewal was scheduled for Saturday at 3pm. Tanis was our co-ordinator and she was fabulous. There really is not to much to do with a memories package but she was on top of things and made sure everything was in order for our event. We were to meet our on site co ordinator Matthew at 2:45 in the lobby of the Grand Floridian where we went over the ceremony and we received our flowers. Disney florist made a beautiful white hydrangea and red rose bouquet for me and my husband had a red rose boutonniere. The only additions I made to the package were his flowers and the small wedding photo album. Rev Jack Day was our minister and he was FANTASTIC! I had sent him a VR ceremony that I had found and wanted him to use and he did such a great job with it. We were so pleased. The violinist was Sasha and Disney Photographer was Darywn. Both were wonderful. It was a beautiful day and everything went off perfectly. It was just what we wanted. After the ceremony we had a private dinner at the Grand Floridian which was delicious. I opted to do the in room romance package (the night before) instead of the limo and because I had planned it so long ago that I didn't remember until we were walking back to the room so it was kind of a surprise for me too. It was so much fun to see all the little gifts around the room we really enjoyed it. Our anniversary was the 23rd and I had wanted it to be a quiet day for us just to hang around the pool and relax. We had dinner reservations for the California Grill, my favorite restaurant. I guess I told them that we were celebrating an anniversary when I made the reservation so when we were seated at the table it had little mickey head confetti all over the tablecloth. Very cute. Our biggest surprise came when we received the check and our children had taken care of the bill!!! It was very sweet and we were so touched. We came home on Monday. That was our big weekend. If anyone has any questions I will gladly answer them. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will share some with you. |

congratulations! I'm happy everything went well. So sweet of your children to surprise you by picking up your dinner bill. You must have raised them right.

I believe I called the private dinning number at the Grand Floridian.
They will e mail you a menu. We sat outside on a balcony and were able to people watch as we ate. If you book it later I'm told that you can see the fireworks from the MK. Sorry I never posted any pics. I am very technically challenged as far as that is concerned. Good luck with you plans. |
