Just booked November 30 to December 7 (have to add one more night tomorrow). Will be staying at BLT. Celebrating my son's birthday and his wedding. Can't wait! They have never seen Disney during the holidays.

Do we have a Facebook group also? I know I've seen that some other groups have one, so just wondering!
Welcome!!!! I'm not sure if anyone has started a FB group yet. I know I haven't, but I would definitely be interested.

We're Disney fanatics in our house, too. Our tree was just covered in Mickey ornaments. I wear Disney t-shirts most days (after work) and I wear Disney jewelry to work.

Absolutely, LadyBeBop!!!! And I am overlapping as well. Technically, we are leaving home on the 30th because we're taking the AutoTrain. We are checking in on the 31st. Welcome aboard!!!

Facebook - Group

O.K.. I figured it out and have now made a Group. I have it set as "secret". You will have to friend request me, then send me a PM that it is for Disney, and I will invite you to the group.

Hi!! We are booked for 11/18-11/23 but dates are flexible...especially if free dining becomes available. We are booked at POR and are looking forward to a moderate after our stay at AoA LM 11/27--12/4 of this year. We also are considering renting points but I don't even know where to start with that! Look forward to planning with all of you!

What did you think about AoA LM? That is what we are currently booked for but I think we are going to chance to POR.

Good luck choosing one!!
I've read some good reviews about Whispering Canyon too!

We are taking our first family trip November 6-11. The last time I was there was in 1998 (so it is like it is my first time too). We are staying off site since there are 6 maybe 10 of us. Any advice on planning?

If you are on FB Sara join that group too. My biggest advice is to always enjoy what you are seeing and not worry about what you are missing. It is impossible to do it all in one trip, so enjoy every minute you get. Make sure you learn a little about how FP works. It can save you a ton of time in lines.

I have dreams like you, no really! Just much less touchy-feely. They mainly happen somewhere warm and sunny....

Thanks everyone for your kind words and congrats! We are planning a March celebration trip as we speak! I'm really hoping the free dining they've hinted at announcing tonight falls on our dates. That would be a big help for a quick, last minute trip!

Yeah, I decided to go to Christmas eve to my in-laws. I wasn't going to let them keep me away from my girl! It was ok. Same meat fest it always is! I was the only reason there were veggies there. I brought them! Really, I don't know how you just sit and eat meat all day.

Happy New Years everyone!!!

Although....she had a good excuse, her daughter was sick.

So....let the planning begin!!!
I was one of those people that was planning to meet and didn't get there. I found it difficult to be in the right place at the right time, especially with a 3 year old. I wanted to be at that meet, though, and DH got a call from work. I remember because I was almost out the door to the monorail to head back to MK! I met one other October 2011 DISer on that trip, and that was after about 20 texts back and forth while we were in AK. Wound up about 4 hours after we started that we finally caught up to each other. And AK is small!
