Don't worry, I've also been making a fair few wedding purchases recently
I love the hair clips and bracelet! Giving your hair some sparkle will complete your look nicely with the rest of your bling your hanger is cute! I just love everything, that dress is so pretty also and those heels are AMAZING! Are you wearing those for the wedding or for the cruise?I'm sorry your flip flops didn't go so great, but at least you didn't spend too much money on them. You're so talented with the rhinestones, your tanks came out great and so did the photo frame! I really like your invitations, as you said, Disney and lodge-y. I like that you added the rhinestone Mickey, I think it gives the invites an elegant touch. You've got some great events planned for your wedding day. Good thing you've planned a delicious breakfast to start the day I have no idea why they can't put fruit fillings in Mad Hatter cakes but I really like the look of the Modern Deco cake, so I think you've picked a great alternative. It sounds delicious! I think your new cake topper suits you both more than Mickey and Minnie. Are you just having the photography included in the Escape package on the day or have you upgraded at all? Do you have any more photography plans? Are there any further developments with your MK Photo Shoot?I am so jealous of your honeymoon suite at the WL! I'm sure you'll love it! Good luck with your floral planning call. You might think of more things to plan as you go along that might sneak up on you, that's certainly the case for me! Sorry I wrote so much I just love your plans! Happy New Year... it'll be the year you're getting married!

For the pre-reception the plan is to order some sandwich trays and cheese/meat trays from the local Publix with some wine. I'm hoping to take over a corner of the lobby but if nothing's available there's an alcove in the lobby in the villas we'll use. As far as the fruit filling, apparently it's very heavy and since the Mad Hatter cakes are tilted, the heavy fruit filling causes the layers to slide off. Or so I've been told. ![]() We're just doing the Disney photography the day of the wedding. As far as the MK photo shoot, it has been confirmed that there will be none at all the entire first week of July. We're not really ones to do it after the fact, but we did want more than just the standard photo package so we decided to book Randy Chapman for a resort shoot instead. It'll be a late afternoon/early evening session the day before the ceremony around the Wilderness Lodge and some other resorts. Still a touch of Lodge and Disney but not "in your face", if you know what I mean. P keeps saying there'll be more I think of, lolol!! He's probably right! ![]() I looked for a PJ of yours, but I didn't see one?? How are your plans coming?

Your pre-reception plans sound fun
as for your MK shoot, you could always use it as an excuse to go back to the World at a later date? but I think a resort shoot will be great, you can choose your own time and place and with Randy you're guaranteed to get wonderful pictures!Quote:
I have started a PJ but it's over on the DisneyBrides forum, I decided that I wanted someplace private to post where my DF wouldn't find pictures of my dress if you're a member (or want to become one, I can give you a referral) you can check it out, there's a link in my signature. I like to be part of both forums, there are some brides who only post on one or the other. Our plans are going great thanks for asking! We have our venue and all our vendors booked so we're making good progress

Our floral planning call is Tuesday! Wish me luck! The bouquet I really would like will incur an upcharge (doesn't EVERYTHING???
) And. I need to decide upon a) the convenience of having Disney Floral providing the ceremony decorations and set up b) us providing the decorations and Floral doing the setup or c) us doing everything.

Blah, blah, blah, mumble, mumble, blah. . .Pssst! I'm sneaking on here, and luv doesn't know. My vote is to let them do it all and save us the trouble on the big day, as long as the cost isn't astronomical. Just to let you all know my vote. . .blah, mumble, mumble, blah, blah, blah. Yay, go Disney! Love Disney! Umm, fairytale sprinkles everyone!!

Our floral consult was great!!! Well, kinda-sorta. The thing I've discovered with DFTW is that everything you want can be done...for a price. Want to upgrade your cake? Sure! $400. You'd rather have a guitarist instead of the violinist? No problem!! You can swap that out...for $250. And, yes the word "swap" was used. I don't know about you, but swap to me implies even exchange. Needless to say, we're keeping the violinist, lol! You get the point. Now. I fully understand and anticipate up charges for certain things, I do. But geezo=peezo!!
All in all, it was great though and I loved Rosie! It's my understanding she does the Escape Wedding floral. I really do feel comfortable with her in charge of it for us. And. I do think P's right here. (Shh, don't tell him that, though ) I do think the wedding morning will be hectic enough without trying to do our own decorations. Anyway. Here's some info for anyone else thinking about an Escape wedding package. This is the standard calla lily bouquet. It includes 18 calla lily stems: ![]() I wanted a more full looking bouquet. So I'm going with this one. It has about 3 dozen stems and will be an up charge of $200. I really do love it and it's one area where P encouraged me to go off the budget. Who am I to say no?? ![]() My stems will be 75% wrapped with ribbon (David's bridal clover green!) and have 6 crystal Mickey's. $3 each. In the standard picture above, to me anyway, it appears that the groom's boutonnière has a ribbon wrapped stem. Apparently, this too is an up charge. But. To wrap the stem and add a Mickey crystal is only $5. A bargain!! On the downside, since our photo shoot is the day prior to the ceremony Rosie thinks we'll need a floral refresh. $175. For those who don't know (I didn't) this also includes a brand-spankin' new boutonnière for the groom. And it sounds like essentially a new bouquet too, really. As far as ceremony decor (as you know, our ceremony site is The Sunrise Terrace at The Wilderness Lodge) ![]() Each bench will have a big green bow on the aisle side. The railing of the terrace (we'll be standing in front of it) will have a swag of green ribbons and ivory tulle secured with bows. The swag itself is only $25. The bows are a whopping $15 each! I need 10. Uggh! However, the lovely manager of Artist Point has agreed, at no charge (finally, something FREE!!!), to take our bows after the ceremony and attach them to the chair backs at our reception dinner. I love him!!! ![]() When all is said and done, I think we've only gone $25 over the package cost (for the custom cake flavors) and it looks like our floral will come in around $500. It's not too bad, really, but sometimes it's a bit frustrating when it seems as though EVERYTHING is $250 more, KNIM?!

Love your PJ! I just saw your post about floral and wanted to add my $.02. We chose the island bouquet package, but substituted the orchid bout for a calla lily (our colors were cornflower blue and orange, so Rosie suggested that the red-orange calla lily would look better than the orchid). My wedding was this past Wednesday, the 16th, and of all the flowers we had in my bouquet, bout, and archway floral, the calla lilies have held up the best. Most of them look just as fresh as the morning of our wedding. My husband's bout held up so well that he wore it to dinner the following 2 nights. I just wanted to put that out there, with my humble opinion, based on personal experience, you wouldn't need the refresh. Of course it's totally your call, but I hope this helps!

Totally agree! January temperatures are certainly not the same as July temperatures!
That would be great if they could offer you a cancellation policy in case you didn't need it. It definitely never hurts to ask! I wish you all the best in your planning process - July will be here before you know it!
