Ours will also be down by NYE as DS16 is having a NYE party and he's got about 10 friends sleeping over so we'll need the floor space

Anyone else putting stuff away over the next couple of days?
I feel exactly the same, my tree went up at the end of November, and I've had enough of it now. I just want to put everything away and start thinking about Summer and holidays. I think I will put everything away over the weekend

Well, after replying to this thread, it got me motivated to take down some of my decorations and cards, just my tree to sort out tomorrow

I feel the same this year. With an 11 week old and a 2.5 year old and all of their bits my downstairs just feels overly cluttered this year.

However this year I've ordered some new storage bags for my tree and decs so can't do much until they turn up. Fingers crossed its soon.

I will probably take the tree down on 1st Jan as I always feel like de-cluttering in January and starting afresh.

Netty
A six foot palm from Wal-Mart would make a very festive Christmas tree
Especially if covered with FROG ornaments!

Well ours all come down yesterday..... all packed up and away in the garage and the loft

Funny how I look forward to getting them all out and then look equally forward to putting them all away The downstairs does look all nice and clean now and so much brighter without a 6 foot tree totally covered in Disney ornaments blocking all the light coming through the patio doors

I took ours down yesterday too as we also need the space for new years day party with the family. It seems like only yesterday I was putting it up though, it's gone so quickly! Was a bit sad thinking it was all over for another year, but am looking forward to some holiday planning ready for the summer!

I'm exactly like this - the second December arrives, I am SO excited to get everything out and I look forward to Christmas. But once Boxing Day has gone for me, I just feel like the house is cluttered. It's not just the tree, I like thinking about what I am going to do with the leftovers etc, like a tin of chocolates will be taken into work, I like finding homes for the new Christmas presents.
