I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. My family is visiting this January. We plan to purchase the 3rd day free base tickets. Can we upgrade the 3rd day free ticket to a power annual pass or preferred annual pass prior to leaving the park in Jan? What are the upgrade rules/ fees?

You can upgrade. You just simply pay the difference in the price you paid for your ticket and the cost of the AP.
