Question about 3rd day free

I have a question about the 3rd day free ticket. We had planned on visiting Universal on Saturday and Sunday Jan 5 & 6. I have a reservation for Saturday night at Royal Pacific in order to take advantage of the early entry and express pass those two days in the park. We will be arriving in Orlando on Thursday evening and staying off site Thurs and Fri but must return home on Monday morning. If we use the "3rd day free" on Friday and then check into the Royal Pacific on Saturday morning will we still get the perks on Sat & Sun even though the first day of the ticket has already been used?

Yes, you will still get express on Saturday and Sunday.
