Cruise on board video
Is there are DVD that can be purchased of our cruise and activities we participated in? My dad went on a carnival and they had one thought it was neat and wondering if Disney did the same thing

The above link is for a planing dvd. Did you mean that you want video that the cruise line may take of you doing activities on the ship? If so then, no unfortunately Disney does not do this. They have photographers at character meet and greets as well as other photo sessions, but no video type sessions. They also have some candid photographs by the photographers but those are uncommon. These photos can be bought on disc or in print.

I'm surprised Disney hasn't jumped on this. We had a DVD on our Royal Carribean cruise and it was a big hit. We watch it all the time. It shows my DD in some of the parades, all of us dancing in the club, on their private island and such.

Photos are done by a 3rd party not Disney. But maybe they are working on it.

They ran into some privacy issues with the video that used to be shown of the activities in the OC and Lab...and that wasn't for sale. It was just shown on the screens in the WD theater.
No, DCL doesn't market a DVD of the cruise. I think the logic might be that there is no way to show just the professionals and your group. I did get one on a private excursion though. On those occasions when DCL has a company filming on board for ABC, The Disney Channel, or ad purposes, each family is required to sign a photo release at check in and we were given a list of places and times to not be if we wished to avoid any chance of being on film. |
