One year later

We are thinking of going on 2nd cruise in January or February 2013 with the kids sail free but we were just on a cruise last January. On the same ship (magic) but different destination, will all of the shows/entertainment be the same? How often do they mix it up?

The shows like the Golden Mickeys etc will be the same.

The main shows will all be the same. They don't change those very often. However, some of the entertainers could be different. They rotate out constantly, but DCL uses a "stable" or regulars. So you may see some of the same folks as you did last year.

thank you! I am thinking we will wait, so it is just as special the next time with a little more time between cruises.

Each show runs for a minimum of 3-4 years due to the cost.

If you can choose a cruise on a different ship you will get different shows.

One of the theater managers told us that a show has to run for 7 years to hit "break even" point, but there may be changes during that time. Not all shows last that long, of course, but that's their target.

28 DCL cruises and I still go the shows each night....so I have seen them all mulitple times and still enjoy them. It just feels like part of the cruise experiences for us to go to the shows each night....love them!!! I still cry at Disney Dreams!!

Us also, MJ! [Except one show that is.] We enjoy the shows even though we know every word. I bawl at the end of Dreams. Can't wait to see Wishes again in March. That one made me tear up also.

Ever think of going on the Fantasy, their shows are new and were very good. We went this past April and are going again in April 2013. Wouldn't even think of missing the shows.

We haven't been on a DCL cruise yet, but I know that our family tradition at WDW is to start our trip there with the Hoop Dee Doo Revue...and it is always the same show, and we always love it and can't wait to go back again! My DD watches the same TV shows and movies over and over again, too...so maybe a repeat wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing!
