Swimming on the ship in Jan?

We are leaving from Galveston, on the Magic on Jan. 18th, heading towards the Bahamas for 8 nights. We are wondering if we will be able to swim on board, comfortably, while traveling on sea days. We went out of Galveston in October towards the western Caribbean and had PERFECT weather practically EVERYDAY. It was not cold at all, and we were able to wear our swim suits all day. Does anyone know if the weather will be similar on this cruise? I am trying to plan our clothing options out. We are also going to be in Disney World one day (I think Jan 22nd) Will we need to pack a coat to wear or shorts?? We are from Oklahoma and have never been to Florida. Suggestions on temps and what we should pack, please? Thank YOU!!!

If it is cold outside the pools are heated, the pool will generally always be a comfortable temperature, the problem is feeling cold when you get out.

Weather in Orlando for Disney World could be either hot or cold. It was 80 degrees 2 days ago and today is a high of 60. Here is a link to the 10 day forecast:
I would check it before you go and pack accordingly. If it's cold jeans and a hoodie sweatshirt is enough. January and February are our coldest months. We have gone swimming on Christmas day or have been bundled up. It's hard to predict.

The pools on the ship are heated. On our Alaskan and Canada cruise the kids swam. Steam was rising from the pools, parents were wrapped in blankets sitting on the sides, but the kids were in the pool.

Here are some photos from the Canada cruise. Note how the parents are dressed but the kids are still swimming

My DW and I got married in January 2011 on the Magic on a 7 day Western as well as spent a week in WDW beforehand... For the week in WDW we wore jeans/long pants and hoodies or sweaters that usually ended up being tied around our waist by the afternoon. One day it sprinkled in the morning and light jackets were needed. Otherwise being from Nebraska it had a wonderful early fall type feeling to it... As for the cruise, summer type apparel was just fine unless it was windy or cloudy, then usually a hoodie or light jacket with shorts was fine. Never had a problem swimming on the ship(unless it was really windy!) Oh, and FYI the water at Castaway was pretty chilly!!!

Weather varies. That's the best anyone can say. We've had it be 40/50s in January, and on other years the same week it was high 70s/low 80s.
