OKW extension

I was one of the lucky ones who passed ROFR a couple months ago on an OKW contract. I have a question for you more experienced DISer's "will Disney come after me for an extension to 2057" ? Or do they just "offer" it to people who previously bought direct? Just curious. Thanks

the extension was actually offered back in 2007/2008 or so. didn't matter if you bought resale or direct, you were obligated to respond one way or the other within a year or so. i don't think they will "come after you" to try to get you to extend at this point - for the most part, i think the extension was offered at a certain point in time and was accepted or (usually) turned down.

but i would be surprised if they weren't willing to offer you the extension if you wanted to pay extra for points in 30 years (not sure if the current price is still $25 per pt or what.) i don't know for certain. if you ask about it, let us know what you find out.

If your contract wasn't extended at 2057, the quit claim deed was filed - and the offer became null and void.

They definitely aren't going to come after you, and even if you went after them to ask for an extension they would say - "Sorry, the quit claim deed was filed for that contract - we can't offer it to you at this point."

Once the claim to the deed extension died, so did the opportunity to extend!

Would probably get into BWV or BCV in future to get that F&W booking window !
