Magic 8522: Configuration & Concierge to Request? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We sailed in 8086 on the Magic last May. The bed arrangements were double sleeper sofa in the living area, queen bed & Murphy bed in the bedroom. I discovered my Christmas "surprise" upgrade from my hubby yesterday when shoreside called me to ask if I needed any planning assistance for our upcoming January 8-night on the Magic. Surprise!

So now we'll be in 8522. Does anyone know if the bed arrangements are the same as we had in 8086? I'm wishing the sofa was akin to the standard staterooms with a pull-down above. I'm doubting this is the case, tho. I hate having both verandah doors essentially blocked by beds so that we have to step over or squeeze past a teenager to access the verandah before the late-nite zombies rise. LOL!

Also, for any recent Magic concierge guests, can you tell me what concierge was assigned to you, if you'd recommend that person, and why? Thanks ever so much!

I don't know anything about the room but we had Danny as our concierge and he was great. Everything that we ask for we got. I think that he maybe on vacation when you go. We only dealt with vanessa once and it was fine. We just loved Danny. Deanna

Thanks! Seems like I've heard Danny's name before as a great concierge. Never hurts to ask, huh?

I would recommend Danny. He was great.

The arrangement in 8086 and 8522 are the same. The only Ts that have a different arrangement are the 4 midship Ts 8032, 8034, 8532 and 8534, the murphy bed is in the living room with the sleep sofa. So nothing to block the verandah doors in the bedroom.

Ah, bummer. I wish we could've gotten one of those with the Murphy in the living room. Thanks so much for the info, tho. Very helpful!
