My brother/wife/kids are booked on a cruise next week. Brother is now sick with probable bronchitis and may not be up to going on the cruise, but his wife and kids would still want to go. Can they cruise without my brother even though the reservation is in "his" name?

Yes, the family will be able to cruise without him.

I've read lots of stuff on these boards about the "lead" name and been told by DCL that which name is listed first is not relevant provided one of the adults on the reservation remains the same.

As always, it is a good thing to verify with DCL, but I'm sure there is no problem in your situation; hope dad has travel insurance.
