WOOOO...I wanted to jump on into this thread for sure.

I feel like it's finally good for me to do real planning now that we are less than a year away!

I am beyond excited to go. Hubbs could take it or leave it, but he will love it when we are there. He's like that with just about every vacation.

I'm just most excited for hubbs and I to share it with DD. It's going to be amazing to watch it all unfold for her.

Red face

That sounds like my husband. Usually we book a trip a year in advance whether it's to Disney or elsewhere and that whole year I do all sorts of planning and get so excited and do countdowns as the time gets closer. He usually does not get excited until a day or 2 before we leave.

Maybe our husbands need a club. "My wife is a crazy vacation planner club" or something like that. They could have a support group over nachos and beer

It's the exact opposite in our house. My wife won't plan anything, she just tells me the things that she wants to do during a vacation. She has me plan out each day so that it doesn't break any "OCD'ness". lol

We only have 352 days of planning left.

I'm excited to be joining this group too!! We're planning 10 days in the beginning of Dec. 2013!! It will DH's first time at the parks during Christmas. He loved Halloween, so I can't wait to show him the Christmas decorations!

I'm the same - constantly planning & getting excited over the details & DW is like yeah ok
She will enjoy it but doesn't want to get bogged down in the details. Prolly OCD tendencies I get with planning , being a financial planner... Lol

lol...I bet with that job you are the ultimate planner! Fortunately for us, we don't have the hours planned, just the days, and even those can alter as we go (except ADR's, etc). Once we get to the parks, we don't have a touring plan, etc.

Changed Our Resort

Well after reading the Boards and weighing our choices, we changed resorts to The Wilderness Lodge. When we were in Disneyland in 2008, we fell in love with the Grand Californian when we ate at Napa Rose for our anniversary. Plus, my DH was a bit surprised that POFQ was like a motel (a nice one). We plan on quite a bit of down time and plan on spending a lot of time at our resort, so I think it will be worth it. Only wish we were closer to DTD and hope we can take advantage of the pool at least once.

356 days and counting

We had a hard time deciding wether to go during the Food & Wine Festival or for Christmas.

The last time we were there was December 5, 2003 - way too long - have been to Disneyland in between.

We are booked at POFQ from December 5, 2013 until December 16th. We heard that POFQ is the best moderate. Would love to stay to the Poly or Wilderness Lodge, but don't want to spend another $1500.

We plan on doing Deluxe Dining. We are not youngsters any more (55 and 52). Just young at heart.

We plan on doing all of the parks and taking a couple of days to explore different resorts and relax.

415 days to go. Can't come soon enough for us.

Still need to pick ADR's. We have until June. We booked through Dreams Unlimited and are very happy with them - they are going to make all of our reservations.

I am not picky, but, my husband is allergic to shellfish and does not like anything cooked in gravy or soups. I have a few places in mind that will be a must.

Kouzinna by Cat Cora; Artist Point; Flying Fish; Kona Cafe; Le Cellier; 50's Prime Time Cafe ... still need to pick the rest.

Along way away, but, the planning and dreaming is fun.

We don't do any touring plans. For lunch we just pick a CS wherever we are at around 11:00 am - 11:30 am. We do make a few TS ADRs for dinner. I will feel a lot better when the airlines release their schedules.

I am waiting also for curiosity. We can drive in 6.5 hours, but last year we decided to fly just so we wouldnt have to drive. I am anxiously awaiting a closer date to determine if we really want to do that again or not.
