Hee hee hee… I then turned the camera and snapped a few of Blanche. At this point I think she might have been saying “It’s okay, I’ll get off and walk from here” Along with all her regular “Why do I do this? I’m going to die” comments. It is so hilarious! She is usually terrified and I’m giggling like crazy!

I believe I got a twist cone and Blanche got a float, although she was just going to get a Diet Coke at first. I didn’t take any pictures, but we found a stone bench to sit on and people watch while we relaxed and ate our snack.

We must have browsed some shops because I have no pictures for an hour. And the next thing I have pictures of is by Pizzafari where we went for lunch!

I took these because I know how much Blanche and Rose LOVE spiders! Hee hee hee… oops. I mean buahahahahaha.

Part 6: Camp Minnie Mickey

When Blanche came back, we decided to head to Camp Minnie Mickey to see the Festival of the Lion King. It’s Blanche’s favorite show, and I love it. I also love trying to get good shots during the show, so that was fine by me.

I'm on hold right now with Disney trying to book for my March trip. So while I....

Oops... While I was typing that, a lovely CM named Laura answered my call. I am now booked for one night in a Little Mermaid room and then 6 nights at Pop Century between March 17-24. I know it would have been cheaper to stay at Pop the whole time, but I really wanted to stay at least one night at AoA.


Part 7: Festival of the Lion King

We found a back row that had a wall behind us, so we could lean. I wasn’t sure if I liked that idea or not, because it meant we had to climb up the stairs. Blanche took the end, by the stairs, and was able to stretch out when she needed to. So it worked out. Except when it was time to leave and everyone wanted to rush her.

I was going to stay and see the next Finding Nemo show, but it was over an hour away and it was starting to rain. I’m sorry, but there is not much in AK for me in the rain, so I left with Blanche. I believe we just kind of hung out in our room/at the resort and relaxed. I really do need to find those receipts! LOL

I found my receipts! Finally. Sorry I’m so slow…. LOL

Before noon, we used one of our 20% off coupons we’d received with a counter service purchase before noon, and bought ourselves some Dooney and Burke wristlets! We were so excited! We got the Disney park ones, mine was green and Blanche’s was yellow. They are so adorable!

I guess we really just went back to relax, I think it stayed wet and we just stayed in and read and relaxed because I don’t have any more receipts for that day! Not even a food receipt.

UPDATE:

On July 22, after our breakfast at the Grand Floridian, which we basically paid for with our refund for the room change, we went to the outlet malls. The one on Vineland I believe.

At the GF, we browsed the shops. At Sandy Cove, I bought a glass GF mug, a little GF keychain and and a big Mickey Carabineer thingy. I use it to hold my shopping bags on my shopping cart.

At the outlets, I tried not to spend too, too much. I did fairly well. At the Disney’s Character Warehouse, I spent just under $100. I bought a few things, but I can’t read what all of them are because of how the receipts work! So annoying!!! Hahaha

I bought two scarves, one green, one white circle scarf type, some Christmas shorts that I wear as jammies under about 5 blankets (I’m in Canada and I hate being cold!), some pjs that I gave my sister, a paisley dress and something else that was grey. I think it was a shirt.

I also made some purchases at Jockey, but I won’t give you the details on that! Hahahaha

And I guess we went back to MK for a bit at list, because Blanche bought a scoop of popcorn at MK Popcorn carts on a snack credit. Hmmmm.... weird. I think it was wet so I decided I didn't want my camera. I do that sometimes where I just want to be and not document.

My first two trips I flew out of Halifax. One with Delta, one with Air Canada. Both times there were delays. With Delta, it had something to do with them and they put me up in a hotel in Boston. With Air Canada, it was the weather, and we stayed in the airport over night. I am a little nervous because I booked this trip out of Halifax too. I know it's not Halifax's fault, it just worries me since 2/2 March Break trips out of Halifax had issues. I guess my other trip during March Break was to DL and we had problems then too. Maybe we should change our March break!

This time I'm flying with Westjet and it's direct! I'm looking forward to that. I've never flown direct to Orlando, except for the morning from Boston. This way I drive for about 3-4 hours (I never know exactly, so I take my time and leave WAY early... it IS for Disney and I am too excited!) and then wait around at the airport for 3-4 hours, then go fly for about 4 hours. So I will leave home at about 9:30 in the morning and arrive in Orlando about 11 hours later. When I fly out of Charlottetown, I usually leave home at about 4:30 in the morning and get to Orlando in about 7-8 hours. Maybe that's not worth it!

Okay, back to the plans.

Arrive in Orlando in the evening. Later than ever before as I like to arrive as early as possible.

Take DME to Art of Animation for one night in a Little Mermaid room. I will take many, many pictures of the room and the resort that night. The plan right now is to just stay at the resort, swimming in the pool (to hear the underwater music!), taking lots of pictures and maybe eat something.

The next morning I will get up and head over to Pop Century to check in and get my 6 day hoppers before heading to Epcot. I was going to do Music, but then I thought about how much easier it would be to get to Pop than to Music!

I have an ADR for Les Chefs de France to practice my French and pretend I'm finally in France. I will hopefully get to see Remy since it's at lunch time. I'm planning to get the prix fixe items and go with the onion soup and macaroni and cheese. I haven't decided which dessert yet, any recommendations? I might not be able to eat all that food, but it's basically an appetizer or dessert for free. I'll likely just eat oatmeal for breakfast and then not snack until then.

Other than that, no ADRs. It will be all quick service meals.

*This could all change if my sister and her family come. They haven't decided and it's kind of stressful for me, so I thought I'd book and change things if I must! The plans could change easily with no worries, it's the resort/flights that bother me, not the plans at WDW. She's got a soon to be 18 year old son (my DN who came with me in 2007), a 5 year old and a 2 year old. We'd have so much fun with my little Disney Freaks! They love coming in and looking at Disney things of mine. LOL

Thanks for reading. I love the Pirate skeletons. Once, I sent my sister Rose in ahead of me, and she didn't know they were there. They rattled the cage and she screamed so loud. I then began laughing until I was crying. Two elderlyish ladies kept looking at me smiling, and I couldn't tell if they thought I was crazy or if it was funny.

So at World of Disney I spent a lot of money! With my discount, it was just under $250… EEEK.

I bought (according to my deciphering of the receipts): 2 keychains (they were exactly the same as the ones I bought in DL, so I wanted the same thing and one was for one of my sisters), a luggage tag, A Mickey cake mould, MM bag clips, MM Chef hat, a flipper, a pillow “A Dream is a wish your heart makes” is on one side and “when you’re fast is asleep” is on the other. Another pillow that has “once upon a time… once upon a time… etc” written all over one side and “happily ever after” various times on the other side. Some corn holders, (to hold the corn in your hands, not the plate things), a pie server, a shower curtain, 2 pairs of pink capris, one for a sister, some candy, a car magnet, something that says a tote and I can’t figure it out because it says w mn dot tote rd $19.95. (I really need to take better notes sometime!), a rolling pin and a Cinderella 3 pack cosmetic pack for the Golden Girls.

I have 90% of my things stored away, so I sometimes forget what things are. I use the clothing and the pillows and such, but I have all the kitchen stuff stored away in the basement in plastic bins. One of the teachers from school is actually bringing me some tea towels tomorrow that her husband had bought her on their last trip, but she doesn’t want them! LOL She said it’s because it just reminds her of how terrible the trip was because everyone got terribly sick. Every once in a while though, I take out all my Disney things and look at them, making a list that I later lose, so that I know what I have. I will do that before my next trip so I try not to shop as much. Some days I say I want to move just so I can decorate Disney style!

After spending all my money, we left for the boat to take us back to POR.

I cannot for the life of me think of why I didn’t take a picture of my cheesecake! I can’t remember how many times I got it for my desert, but I never took a picture of it! I guess I have to go back and take a picture of it when I’m there in March. With my tripod to take some night shots of POR I guess. LOL

We went back to the room and Blanche decided she didn’t feel up to visiting any parks! I wanted to get to Epcot to buy something for my nephew in Japan and to see Off Kilter; I wanted to get to DHS to see Beauty and the Beast and maybe Fantasmic, and get to MK to see the fireworks. What was I going to do? I said I couldn’t decide and that I’d stay back because I was tired. What was up with that? Blanche wouldn’t let me though and kicked me out, telling me that I’d regret it. I knew she was right, so I left to take the long way around, through Alligator Bayou, to get to the main bus stop.
