Thank you everyone for your input. We are going with Cape May.

Maybe we will do Chef Mickey's next time.

I think it's the right choice as well, but mainly b/c of where you're staying and where you plan on spending your day. i.e. if you're going to Epcot and you're staying in an Epcot area resort, Cape May makes perfect sense.

Now from a food and character perspective...Chef Mickey's wins that battle for us every time. 5 characters vs. 3 and we found the food to be better at Chef Mickey's even if the eggs w/chorizo and asparagus w/hollandaise at Cape May were nice treats.

Sorry to hijack this post...but I'm hoping Cape May experts can help me out:

Disclaimer: This is my first trip to DW.

We have a 9:30pm reservation at Cape May on Christmas Eve. Is it worth doing rope drop at MK before our reservation? Squeeze in an hour and then head on over to Cape May? Is this doable?

We have our own car. Is there a better way to get to Cape May from MK that doesn't involve having to move our car? We will be going back to MK after breakfast.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely Cape May! Especially if you are going to EPCOT that day. It's less than a 10 minute walk to WS. The food is standard breakfast buffet but has always been hot and fresh. Character interaction is also great. Love the whole BC atmosphere.

Staying at beach club and going to EPCOT that day makes cape may a no brainer! Chef mickeys is nice, but save it for when youre going to MK or staying at BLT

I assume the reservation is 930am. I wouldnt try it. Whether you take a bus from mk to bc or you take the monorail, tram, and then drive to bc, plan on at least a 45 minute trip.

Best options: try for an adr at crystal palace, chef mickeys, ohana, or 1900 park fare first.
If you cant find any, try for a breakfast adr at the wave at the contemporary. Its not a character meal, but still a great breakfast
3 rd option for something different, try captain cooks counter service at the polynesian. Get the tonga toast and grab a table by the beach over looking cinderellas castle. Its the best $6 breakfast on disney property!
