I spent the day at ER with hubs. He has always been borderline diabetic, but has been able to control it with diet and excercise. He is in very good shape. He doesn't look like your typical diabetic, but it runs in his family. He started peeing a lot the last month. He went to his primary care, and his blood sugar was 514. The doc freaked out called me, and told me to have him admitted. I took him to a different hospital than the one I work at because I just didn't feel like dealing with people I know. They did nothing for him except give him a prescription for metformin. I just checked his BS again it was 303. He went running we shall see what it is after running a few miles. I think all the stress of the last 2 months, plus lack of gym, plus his mom's unhealthy cooking has done havoc with his health. I'm going to ask his primary care to put him on FMLA so we can get this under control. He has 1100 hours of sick time saved up he might as well use it.

Anyway I need another vacation like now.

It's a good thing CRO was down today I was definetely in the mood to change everything.

I'm so sorry. I hope your DH is able to get his blood sugar (I thought about just typing bs, but then kept think it looked like something else other than blood sugar) straightened out. Out of my parents and my DH's parents, my mom is the only one that is not a diabetic. We have a lot of history on both sides of the family.

What day next month is your bday? Our youngest son, John Michael's bday is on the 8th and mine in on the 10th. I spent my 23rd bday in the hospital when I had him. I had a c-section and had a 13 month old at home, so my doctor kept me in the hospital as long as he could so I could recover more before going home.

The boy's last day of school. As soon as they get off the bus, they will put their stuff away, go potty, give the in laws hugs, and we are out the door. We will get as close to the Biloxi, MS area as we can that night.

Check out at whatever the latest check out is (so we can sleep late) and finish driving to the Biloxi, MS area. Once there tour the Jefferson Davis house. Then get to Mobile, AL or as close to Gulf Shores, AL as we can get a reasonable room.

We'll get up early this day, so we can put our bags in the MV and have a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We'll either hit a park for a few hours or head for Cocoa Beach. Then we'll do a couple of days at Cocoa Beach with one day spend at KSC. Then we'll rush like crazy to get home as quick as possible.

Now my questions for y'all.
1. Which is better for CRT, breakfast or lunch?
2. If we do lunch can my youngest DS get somethings off the kids menu, even if he is on the adult DDP?
3. If we decide to head to a park after Chef Mickey's on the day we check out, can our MV stay in the CR parking lot or will it have to be moved?

That's okay...I wasn't really thinking that would materialize. I still get my January one, so I will just hang on to that happiness!

And, I had my meeting with our director. I made my proposal and I was shocked to see the relief in his face when he realized I wasn't resigning, which he thought was the case. He completely agreed with all of the points I brought up and said I have worked hard and that he thinks I am totally reasonable in asking for more money.

He will be talking with our V.P. today or tomorrow for authorization and get back to me.

Thanks. I was finally able to make the changes with Disney so it's official. The CM I talked to was good at his job, just not a magical CM. I was going to do the survey after the call, so I could give him a good report. Just as I started it, the youngest DSs football coach called me. Seems my little man is trying to get out of working out in the off season by "not knowing where his work out clothes are."

Oh and for those that wanted it, here's a picture of my first hat. I'm not 100% happy with it, but I tend to be a perfectionist.

My poor DS8 got punched in the back of the head by a kid at school yesterday. He had already had a problem with this kid hurting him earlier in the year and the teacher did nothing after I told her. I thought it had stopped so I let it go.

This time I called the principal. The assistant would not let me speak to her but said she would handle it. Again, nothing happened. DS also confessed that this kid has pushed him down and kicked him in the crotch multiple times at recess. He never told me or anyone at the school because the kid threatened him not to after he told the first time.

I'm too mad to think straight right now and need some rational advice. WWYD?

Seriously....I would be up at that school ASAP making sure they were calling the parent of that child and setting up a meeting with administrators. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I would be livid if it were me. Mama bear would be coming out big time.

And...if the asst. principal wont let you talk to principal, you demand it...and if you have to, move on to superintendent. There is no need to put up with physical violence.

Most schools now days have a 0 tolerance for bullies. I know with my boys schools, you don't talk directly to the principal but to an assistant depending on a couple of things. They different ones for the grade they are in and the high school has other principals for different things for example lunch room safety. Explain to the assistant principal that if they don't get the problem taken care of, you will take it to the superintendent. If they still don't do anything, I'm sure you could find a pro-bono lawyer that would handle a law suit like that and a local tv crew that would be more than happy to report on a school that is doing nothing to stop bullies.

Whatever you do, take a deep breath and remember that you are your child's champion. No one will fight for them they way you will.

....but...but I no wanna do any more homework. I'm in school now working on a computer programming degree. I'm in a professional communication class right now. We have threads of discussions like threads on this board. We have to post on two threads at least three times a week. I did two posts today and have two more days to do.
