Marathon Weekend- Any DVC info? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We've traveled for Princess Weekend the last few years but this will be our first for Marathon Weekend. DW is doing the full marathon and I'm doing the half. Anybody know if there are any special DVC meet ups or anything cool to take note of?

There will be a lot of DVC members running, but not any meetings that I am aware of.

We've done marathon weekend for 5 years now, there's nothing DVC does. However, if you tell member sercives you're celebrating marathon weekend you'll get a card from Mickey in your room just like any other celebration.

This is our third year in a row participating in marathon weekend. I am part of a facebook page that made up our own meeting at Epcot last year and this year I know Disney is having a meet up event at DTD Sunday night. Check out the FB pages Sid Busch heads up Disney marathon weekend as I know they are looking at doing another one althugh it is DVC and non DVC members. You can always start one at your resort. Where are you staying? We will be at AKV. Wearing your medal around strikes up coversation with everyone also. Goodluck and see you there.

They usually put out food in the morning at the resorts

. (Obviously don't rely on this but its been nice the last 2 years)
