Question Questions regarding disembarkation day from a first time DCL cruiser

Hello! This is a question for those of you who have had a post-cruise Disney World vacation.

On the last day of your cruise, what was the process like for packing up, getting your luggage taken care of, eating breakfast, and being taken to your Disney resort by Disney transportation? Specifically, what time did you wake up, have breakfast, leave the ship, and get checked into your hotel?

I ask because I want to get to Epcot as soon as possible in order to maximize our time since it is our only day at that park. That being said, does anyone have any tips for speeding the process up? Should I keep my luggage with me? Are there different disembarkation times you can choose from or different restaurant options that would be quicker? Or do the Disney buses only leave at one time, in which case any planning to move quickly that morning wouldn't matter anyway And if so, what time do they leave and when should I expect to get to the resort that day?

Anyone care to share their past experiences? Thanks!

Your breakfast assignment is based on your dinner assignment. Main seating = early breakfast, late dinner = later breakfast (8:00). If you don't like your assigned time, you can eat at the pool deck buffet restaurant OR ask you head server the night before whether he can move you to the other time.

Quickest way to handle luggage is to keep it with you--works well if you are adults and have one suitcase per person. If you are handling kids, strollers, car seats, etc. it will be much easier to put your luggage out the night before and reclaim it in the terminal with a porter.

OK, you get off the ship when you are ready (there are no "groups" or assigned times other than the need to be off by 9.) You claim your luggage in the terminal and go thru Customs, then to the CM who will point you to the right bus for your resort. The bus will leave as soon as it is reasonably full and the next one will start filling.

Generally the "big doors" open between 7 and 7:30. People needing to claim luggage will be able to do so about 7:30, those handling their own luggage can get off as soon as the doors open.

Luggage is picked up the night before (correct me if im wrong) about 10PMish. So what we do (always had late dining) is pack before dinner all but the essentials and then immedeiately after dinner go back to the room, change, and place our bags outside to be picked up.

The next morning we get up usually around 7, shower, get cleaned up and final packing our "day bags". We always go to the breakfast with our server/tablemates (8:00 I think?) and go off the ship after breakfast. We disembark about 9:00ish, customs etc. etc. and usually on a bus for WDW about 10:00/10:15. Resort checkin 11:15-12:00 depending on which stop. Usually at the parks by about 1-1:30.

We dont have kids so we're pretty quick when it comes to grabbing luggage in the customs hall and bolting through customs to the busses. Same with breakfast, pretty quick eaters.

Upcoming Trips:
April 18 Epcot / MV Magic 19-26 / MK April 26
August 6-11 VWL
