I Don't know what to do! Pls advise!

We are planning our first ever Disney Cruise! We are looking at two cruises with a Florida Resident special. They are both 3 day Bahama cruises on the Dream leaving from Port Canaveral.

One is Jan. 31 -Feb.3 in two rooms on deck 6 with verandah and the other is Feb. 7-10 in one room on deck 10 near the stairs with verandah.

We have 2 boys ages 9 & 10. My husband and I have only been on one other cruise our entire lives - Royal Carribbean in an inside stateroom on deck ? so I really can't compare...

I have heard the higher up you are, the more you feel the movement of the ship....is that true?

I should add that the Jan. 31 sailing costs $150 more than the Feb. sailing...

What should we do? Which is the better choice? I have to get this right because I don't know if I'll ever get to do this again - especially since my boys are growing up sooooooooo fast!

Thanks for your help!!

Either is a good choice. You'd have more privacy with two rooms. I assume they're connecting rooms? You'd also have more storage space, an extra bathroom, and an extra t.v.

On the other hand, you probably wouldn't spend much time in your room on a 3-day cruise.

The laws of physics would say there's more movement on the upper decks of a ship but I really haven't noticed any difference.

either one is good....I would not worry about being higher....any difference in movement, if at all, would be minimal. I have never really noticed too much difference in movement in any cabin carea of the ship.

It looks like the 2/3 cruise is a 4 day, not a 3 day.

neg58 - you were right - I posted the wrong dates for Feb. It's actually the 7-10th.

The higher deck really doesn't make much difference. I've heard lower deck midship is supposed to be best. However I felt just about the same on deck 8 midship. I personally think I feel more aft or forward than upper or lower.

As for one or two staterooms, on a 3 night cruise you won't be in your stateroom much so I would go for one stateroom since it will be cheaper. Then you might be able to get DH to think about another cruise in the future.

Both are good choices, stop stressing. If you truly can't decide; flip a coin. . You'll be a winner either way.

Unless you are prone to motion sickness, I wouldn't worry about the movement. I do notice the difference, but I really like the movement...kind of calming, and only on smaller ships, so if you are on the dream (Im going in Jan, but have never been), you likely won't even notice much of a difference.

We were on the Dream on the 10th floor a few weeks ago.

For a 3-night cruise, you're really only at sea during the evening.

Our last night we did feel quite a bit of motion. (Our room was all the way forward). At times while we were laying in bed it felt like being on a smooth roller coaster, and my stomach would drop from time to time. I fell asleep just fine, but DH didn't sleep very well.

If you're really concerned about motion, mid-ship on a lower deck will be less, but I didn't feel like it was too bad.

And, it's only 3 nights... you're docked during the day and can get off on walk around on land if you need to.
