Where to find the best rates on a universal hotel with or with out tickets?

I got priceline for 279$ a night i think for the PR I think it was on and off and on again this was for Spring break keep checking!

Since we just spent 10 days at an extended stay starwood hotel and may be spending more while our house is repaired from Sandy destruction, we are going to skip Universal and stay at Swan/Dolphin for free and do WDW for the week.

We'll hit universal some other vacation when we aren't adding on 5 days in wdw and 7 days of a cruise as well. Then we can stay onsite and the cost won't be as shocking, lol. I'll keep that call for AAA tip in mind for sure though.

Please go directly to the Loews website and see what the room only rates would be. Wellesley there, pop APH into the code field, to see if there are AP rates during that time. If there are, is the total (tickets for all but one, AP for one, hotel with APH discount....vs normal rate plus tickets purchased through someplace like undercovertourist.com....vs your package rate) better or worse?

I have never, not once, found a package rate to be better than doing it a la carte, especially using a place like undercovertourist.com or maple leaf, etc.

Unfortunately, I already checked for AP rates way back a the beginning of the thread. There were none. That was my first thought too.
