DDD Drive-ins, diners and dives locations

Hey have you been to any in LAX or SAN Diego? We went to one in SD (a silver diner one) and it was good. Our boys want to go to one when we are there in December, this month.

I recommend Nickel Diner is downtown LA. Check their hours, I don't think they're open for lunch.

A few of my friends love Patrick's Roadhouse, I haven't been yet. I say check the reviews on Yelp before you decide.

Here's a list that I've used when traveling:

Do they watch The Great Food Truck Race? It might be fun to track down some food trucks too.

Thanks SMD! My sons are making notes about these! We don't get the truck show here.

We've been to El Indio in San Diego and thought it was really good. We didn't know it was on Diners, Drive ins and Dives; we just happened to walk in and ordered. As we were eating, we saw the news clippings on the wall.

Hodad's in San Diego (Ocean Beach), and one downtown. Hash House a Go Go in Hillcrest.

Pizzaria Luigi has been on, in the Golden Hill area of San Diego.

One we really like from Man Vs Food is Lucha Libre, great burritos.

I'm thinking the diner you went to is probably Studio Diner, but if it was a different, give them a try also. They are from DDD.

Lucha Libre, El Indio, and Blue Water Seafood are in the same area, actually in sight of each other.
