As it was our second cruise in a year my sister and I decided to do something a little different.. John and Michael Darling from Peter Pan! We had sword fights with Hook, it was a lot of fun!

Yes. I believe you can purchase some kid costumes, tshirts and some pirate accessories (hats, bandanas, swords, etc) while on board the ship but its best to bring your own. I know, it's a lot to bring for just one night but its fun and I really enjoy all the complements.

This is fantastic!!

I came on this thread specifically to see if Capt Hook would be at the Pirate Party, as one of my DS and myself will be dressing as Hook. Another DS will dress as the Helmsman from the POTC ride, and my oldest DS, well, good luck to me getting him to dress up

He may wear a pirate shirt, but that is about it

We had one entire suitcase dedicated to Pirate gear for our family of 5. One person has a very expensive ($400+) leather pirate chest piece just for her). We also didn't want the Pirate Hats crushed so it was our best hardsided suitcase for Pirate stuffs...

Needless to say, we are very into Pirate Night. I am a photography buff and so is my DGF. We got over 2700+ pictures of our 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise last week. I believe we ended with about 10 pictures of Pirate Night total because we were too busy enjoying the party. Certainly didn't help that we took 3000 Glo-Sticks onboard to hand out. Anything we ended the night with (you'd be surprised how many people didn't want to take glo-sticks from "the freaky people"), we ended up trying to give to Cast Members.

It was a very fun night. :D

I think he is on all the Carribean & Bahamas cruises, not sure about the others

Do people only dress up for dinner? Or is it for the party after too? Hubby and I are going to Palo that night but plan to dress the kids up for the fireworks that night. Is that ok? Or does everyone change by then? Thanks.

From what I read, people dress up mainly for the party.
I haven't been to one though (first Disney cruise next month), so someone can correct me if I am wrong.
