But but but....did ya catch your straw?

B, If I would've known in '05 how much fun you are, I would've spent a whole heck of a lot more time with you then. You're a hoot girl!

Anyway, so I always seem to ask about food everywhere I go...tell me about this one. Is this something regularly available from room service, or a special order? It looks delightful!

And I'm OK with that; Jay didn't marry me for my trophy wife properties - of which there are none - he married me because I added a bunch of zeros to my personal financial statement and he thought I was his ticket to early retirement!

Ahem.

Anyway, I finally asked one of them if there was something I could help them with ... perhaps not the best way to phrase the question but we were sitting at a bar so perhaps I can be forgiven for sounding a little suggestive. Turns out they were from the Rhode Island / Delaware area and there is a lady up there (whose name I forget) who looks an awful lot like yours truly - to the point that they thought we might be twins. All I can say is I feel kind of bad for her if she gets up in the morning and has me staring back at her cross-eyed in the mirror!

You mean not everyone comes running saying "OMG IT'S BENDY!!!! "

& next time.. you need to bring a really big bag to those sessions... I bet you could get a couple of bottles out of that bar in no time!!!

Thanks very much for reading ... happy to hear you're enjoying it all! wait until you see the wave photos from Friday! The Manhattan was amazing ... I asked Novak to make sure it wasn't too sweet and I don't know what he added to it besides the Blanton's but it was incredible!

Hey if that ever happens again remind me to wear shorts under my formal dress.
I think Jay just liked saying, "We're staying with the purser" whenever he could.

BTW ... don't go commando under your formal dress, either!

I'm surprised mixology wasn't the death of us! Still managed to have a great dinner at Palo, though; didn't we?

Not only did I not catch the straw, I gave up on the drink altogether because it actually wasn't very good. Made up for it in Skyline!

And ... I don't think we were as much fun in 2005 ... some of my health issues were rearing their ugly heads back then and I was decidedly more cranky in those days.

Thanks for reading along with us! If you ever get a chance to attend Mixology it usually does end up being one of the more interesting and fun seminars (probably because of all the booze and because it's so interactive) ... give it try next time!

Thanks very much for the kind words - glad you're enjoying the trip report so far.

The tray of fruit you're referring to came at the end of our couples treatment at the vista spa - we booked a couples villa and this was delivered at the end for us to enjoy together.

You're too funny ... hopefully no one ever comes running at me screaming my name (or nickname) like that. I would probably run screaming in the opposite direction!

And no booze stealing ... it goes against the friendie code!

Oh man I love reading your TRs. You seriously are a great writer, even if all your TRs revolve around food & booze! We really need to cruise/WDW together!

Finally got all caught up with your postings Loved how you and Jay were out there playing mini golf with the strong winds stirring up! I understand the passengers being disappointed about not stopping at Castaway Cay since I'm sure they were all looking forward to experiencing it but I agree with you about not taking it out on the crew They're just trying to keep people safe because we all know if they didn't take precautions and something happened, those same passengers would have been complaining that they didn't look out for their safety. I love how you enjoy your breakfast room service. It just sounds so relaxing. Pete and I never took advantage of it on any of the cruises we've taken but I will definitely try it when we go on our next cruise in May! That mixology seminar seemed like a lot of fun! You and Jay could have probably taught that seminar! Can't wait for the next update.

You're too kind but thank you! As long as people are enjoying the story I'm happy. And ... ummmmm ... is there anything but food and booze on a vacation? I do have to self edit ... I'm pretty sure you guys don't want to hear about how we frighten bed bugs and shock towel animals.

I would be prepared to meet you so it would be OK ... I'd probably even give you a hug!

Hi Linda!! I think you're totally right - there are some people who are just going to complain no matter what. Too bad really since it's vacation but I can't point the finger too much since I'm sure I've complained once or twice in my life, too.

I wish we'd taken advantage of room service breakfast more than once ... we just didn't think about until later in the week. But it was so nice and so relaxing.

Mixology was awesome ... jay and I would probably make good assistants but no way are we good enough to compete with someone like Novak.

Thanks for reading along!!

Hi there! Just wanted to say I'm enjoying your TR. Looking forward to hearing about how Sandy affected things. My hubby and I are DINKs as well, and enjoy our vacations much the same as the two of you...food and booze. Must be a universal theme!

Sorry about the delay in these menu pictures!
Holidays + got sick = no fun

I am not sure these were all the actual items on the menu looking at it now though, and I think I remember thinking the same thing when we got the copies of the menu from our concierge. But oh well it is worth a shot!

Well hello! I really hope we weren't too obnoxious during the seminar. We sort of encourage terrible silliness in each other when we have too much to drink and by the time of this seminar we had definitely started to have too much.

Hello and welcome to the madness - thank you so much for reading! Sounds like we have the same vacation mindset ...

Thank you so much for doing this - you sir, are a true gentleman!

I hope you're feeling better now - no fun getting sick over the holidays.

No problem!

Fortunately I was sick the day after thanksgiving so I got to enjoy that at least

Did you two ever make it to the tube? My wife really liked one of their signature drinks, I cannot remember the name of it but it was a shot of King's Ginger liquor and champagne.

What a great instalment B! It's nice to see someone who has a great attitude about the end of your cruise. Lord knows we've heard a lot from the entitled folks that were on your sailing

I'm glad you made the best of it! Heck, I think you guys might have enjoyed that day more than anyone else on that ship

Question for ya....did you happen to bring home your Navigators? I am looking for some more recent ones, the only ones I could find are from August!
