Magic & Merriment
Anyone going to this year's event? We are Disney vets (5 trips this year...usually 2 or 3 every year), but have never experienced this event. Im certainly eagerly waiting for the itinerary! Does anyone who has been in the past have any advice about this event?

GO!!! I went last year and it was *WOW*!!!
No real advice.....if seat selection is important to you, get there a bit early, but really there aren't any bad seats. You will LOVE it!!!

I am going to the Sunday/Monday version. I had originally booked for the Friday/Saturday but could not get a decent discounted hotel room. The only thing available at Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk was a garden suite at about $800 per night because Thursday was the three openings and nothing was available. I was able to get the Beach Club for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at a much lower price and they were able to switch me over.

Thanks. We are signed up. Just curious if others from here are going also. It looks like the event has been "downgraded" a bit (no Cinderella Suite tours this year, no MVMCP tickets, etc.) and the tickets are a little more expensive than past years. It seems like it's one of those things where they loaded up the first event and, now, they are slowing stripping away things to see where the "sweet spot" is as far as price vs. value. However, I am still really looking forward to the event! (Maybe we will see itineraries soon since the first one is 3 weeks away!!!)

I'm going to the Sunday/Monday event. I also went last year.
I agree that this year's event does seem a little bit stripped down (although the private viewing of the Osbourne lights is going to be awesome). I'm hoping for some good gifts and "secret" stuff.

As predicted, D23 seems to be dying out. Last year M&M (both sets) were sold out almost immediately; this year both still have availability. Also other than M&M and the touring "update", there is nothing at WDW listed through December of next year but lots of stuff in Burbank or Glendale.

I am going this year as a guest of SwiperFox and I'm pretty excited. I didn't go last year. It does seem they stripped it down this year, but I'm sure it will be fun. I've never been to Disney during the holidays so I'm anxious to see Candlelight Processional and the Osborne Lights.
